then SettingsDX12.json and open with notepad.
find r5apex.exe and rename it r5apex_dx12.exe
the above suggestion does not work for me
this worked for me thank you n i also have the launch commands in the steam launch options
i dont even see Apex Legends folder under Common in that directory buddy.
please explain all detail and command.
you can verify this by opening the json file inside "Apex Legends\EasyAntiCheat" directory with any text reader like notepad

EDIT: If you want to force either by launch command update to force the correct json file
Players on Steam can still select DX11 as a startup option, and players on the EA App or Epic Game Store can use DX11 with the commandline argument
Also tested old way to force json file via launch options
1. Right click on Apex Legends, select "Properties"
2. Under General, Launch Options, remove the text that says "-anticheat_settings=SettingsDX12.json"
