APEX IS NO LONGER FUN TO PLAY.

Day 1 player. Over 8K hours in this game. Use to play every chance I had. But The last few sessions are making it harder to enjoy this game with bad weapon and character balance, the input work, and just the direction this game is going in. From 4 to 8 hours a day to I just played 1 game and I'm already done. I'm a mid level gamers. I don't suck, but not "pro". Tired of being the best guy on my team every game. I don't want to 1 V the whole map every game. Almost every game, me 400-1200 damage, teammates 0-100 combined. Just not fun anymore. Its a team based game. SBMM is Not fun for the solo Q players.

I'm half way though the BP, so I think I'll finish that then start playing R6 or Pubg again.

Anyone know any free fps style games I should check out. Need something not Apex.

i can understand mmr in pubs cuz new players etc

but mmr in ranked is the worst thing ever

I do not know how many times we will repeat it. Apex has no SBMM or EBMM; it has its own MM they developed to use player retention. Because you get a few bad games,players get angry and just keep playing. in the hopes of winning a game. Their algorithm gives intentional bad games, so you get farmed. But if you have common sense and stay away from games for a while, the algorithm will provide you with normal games. Some even found out that jumping 10-15 times at the start of the map into death resets the algorithm to provide a normal game.

No, it's SBMM. All evidence points to this. The algorithm seems to treat all squads as a unit. If capable teammates, in combination with your own valuation, raise your squad's 'skill level' past everyone else's in the lobby, then it will give you, the solo-queuer, less capable teammates so the lobby isn't dominated by one squad, not because 'player retention'.

Jumping off 10-15 times will get you into bot lobbies, because the game thinks you're now one of the less capable teammates. If you need to stomp on absolutely everyone to feel like you're having a 'normal' game, that's an ego problem.

Devs themselves said they were using a diff MM algorithm rather than SBMM or EBMM.
