The matchmaking is absolutely terrible, I'm a level 6 being put into lobbies sweat lord children that are 200 levels higher than me. I expect more from Respawn.

respawn doesnt use SBMM in this game.
they're using EA patented matchmaking called EOMM (Engagement Optimized MatchMaking) its whole purpose is to create unbalanced match for a couple games and then its finally gonna give you an really really easy match.
thats why you're level 6 and pitted against someone who's lvl 200 and above.
thankfully this predatory rigged matchmaking CAN be abused and i suggest you do it every time.

you’re referencing a patent centered around 1v1 games, that doesn’t necessarily entail that’s what apex is using

neither do account levels necessarily correlate to the skill level of the player

I've already uninstalled the game. The difference between playing this on console and "playing" on pc as a new player is night and day, I just got out of 3 back to back to BACK lobbies where I was the only PC player. Everyone in those lobbies had aim assist and I lost 95% of the fights I was in regardless of what range I was at for 5 hours straight. This game needs some MAJOR balancing. I'd get tapped twice from over 300 yards away with an assault rifle and my entire shield and 75 percent of my health would be gone.

lol im so tired of the babies. Its a skill gap issue. Levels dont matter about skill just your own skill and it sound like u have none yet which is ok. If this is a game you want to get good at then practice in the training range daily. Look up accuracy training videos super helpful. Stop crying everyone and just get better. If you are on pc and complaining about aim assist against console palyers you truly are very bad. M&K you literally have 0 recoil. PLUS U CAN PLUGG IN YOUR CONTROLLER!! Bam you are on pc playing with your controller enjoying aim assist. STOP CRYING AND GET BETTER

This seems to be the case. I'm not a low level player but I have been away from the game for about a year at this point. Naturally, my skills have rusted more than quite a bit, and approaching 30 years old does not do my reflexes any favor either, I physically can't react as fast as 18 year olds hooked up on monster and cocaine will.

The largest level gap I've come across is roughly 1000 above me, someone at high 200s/prestige 3. Usual wraith with >25,000 kills on her alone.

I'm honestly beginning to think that the ranked distribution (more Masters than all other ranks from gold up combined) is not because Respawn's system is broken, it's because there are only no lifers left playing.

I have around 200 kills total. Just went up against a wraith with 25000 kills. I try getting good, but its impossible when I just one clipped by a TTV wraith who never leaves their basement. Valorant at least has a few games where you can get a kill or two...
