Game keeps crashing straight to Desktop

Title says it all, no errors no logs no nothing, I don't know what to do at this point
Playing on a laptop, it is not overheating

Laptop specs:
16gb RAM
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5600
GPU: Nvidia RTX 3050
Drivers are up to date, tried multiple versions as well

EDIT: It happens midgame, not on startup or anything. Runs smoothly until just decides to close completely. It is not running on background

Same happens to me. It started happening since the beginning of this season. There is no fix unfortunately and it is happening randomly to people.

I have seen people with high-end systems reporting crash while others with much weaker systems playing with no problem. So it is not a performance issue it seems.

Moreover, I have seen discussions where they've reported that reinstalling the game also does not fix it.

I have also tried to verify the files myself but no luck there either.

The only thing I was able to find out was that it only happens on world's edge and range. Probably because the range's map model is based on world's edge. I am not sure about this tho. But I never have crashes while in storm point or other maps.

I also haven't seen any crashes on non-BR modes.

At-least, this is what is happening for me so try not playing when world's edge is up and see if that helps or not. But as I've said the issue is too random and debugging a root cause is proving to be too difficult.


I did one more verification after yesterday's update. Haven't played yet tho. Let me see what happens.


UPDATE: I now crash in Storm Point too :)

UPDATE 1: Found the problem!!!! It is a network related issue. Somehow, the servers are having problems with some connections. I used to play on WARP because that way I could have squeezed out a few more ms from my network connection. Plus, the latency was much more stable. I tried playing without that and I have never crashed since then. Although some people have also reported that they are having crashes even when they are not behind a VPN. All and all, as I said and to my understanding, it is a connection issue so try doing something to you connection (e.g. Use a VPN, ...).

it is happening to several people; been digging around to see if there are any fixes, but seems that the new update is just broken, and we'll have to wait until the devs fix it in future updates
With each new season i'm getting more and more bugs and glitches, so i wouldn't keep my hopes to high either

Try using a VPN, pick the same region as the server you play on.
This game has gotten WORSE since i joined in S14.
Since S16, I've not been able to play without Crashing to Desktop, UNLESS i use a VPN!

daym yo shocker haha, but im glad you found something to help stabilize it! Guess that's Apex Legends for you, it's such a ♥♥♥♥.show, i legit think the main coders are not qualified to work on a game of this magnitude, the interface is clunky, lobby UI is crap, social ui is crap.... they SERIOUSLY need to do some re-hiring
