Linux - Banned

I was playing for few days in a row and today, when I wanted to play, I got banned. I am the only one banned and also the only one on Linux (I know about other friend who said he was banned for unknown reason and is also on Linux).
We did not play any ranked and as far as I know, noone was cheating.
I did not get far, lvl 33 (had few levels from previous season), purchased 1 hero and was half way to 2nd one.

Well the best course of action would be to contact EA's support explaining the situation. Considering that Apex pretty much requires windows anticheat with ring 0 access using something that is not an appropriate OS carries the risk of false flags. So my advice would be that if you're running apex on linux at least do not give EA any money :3

I've just got my case to unban my account declined. Said was creating, won't explain how. I'm properly pissed now.

I got no progress yet but on the support page it says I need to press resume (which redirects me to the page for new case) but it is still in progress. I am not sure I want to play the game anymore after this happening to so many people and they not facing it at all.

I did not even use custom configuration (launch parameters or different Proton version) so everything was setup by EA (or Developers) and Steam.

Those are scammers who will take your money and then block you from further communication. It is not possible for some 3rd party person to unban your EA account.

It's the same logic as romance scammers who seek out desperate lonely women and promise them eternal love if only she'd send him money to get out of this Oil Rig where he works as a doctor :-)

I figured so but as I had no proof, I did not want to say it directly :)

The funniest part is they probably report each other as only 1 (the latest) was visible and other replies were marked as containing "offensive content".

Yes, the proton version (with Easy Anticheat) has a library that provides rendering API for the game and converts it to Vulkan calls. Otherwise it would not be able to run. The system and memory scans could also be suspicious as using Proton (Wine) may look different than normal Windows (and even for low-level apps would may not allow full access due to wine not running under root).

Few hours ago I have received almost-empty email (translated it said "Hello", "What it means", "Thank you! EA") and after checking the ban history I found the ban revoked.
So they full checked the ban twice and declined. And now it is revoked :D

I was never banned myself here on Arch but these reports had me so paranoid that I didn't play for like 2 weeks

Sure you are. Because this game has no Native linux support,meaning you have to use emulation. Anything which mess up with API will get you banned,no matter using you cheats or not,that considered prohibited game modifications and there is some warnings about that in game TOS.
