Sound problem (no stereo)

Recently this started happening, my sound always comes equally from both sides and it's not possible to distinguish where the sound is coming from. Started happening 2 days ago.

C:\Users\your user name\Saved Games\Respawn\Apex\local
open settings.cfg file, it may not have .cfg prefix for you depending on your explorer settings, scroll down to this line:
sound_num_speakers "2"
make sure it have 2 or 6 or 8, depending on your number of channels, 2 for stereo, 6 for 5.1 n 8 for 7.1, hope it helps

Thanks. I forgot to mention that I've already tried doing the part with editing .cfg file and sadly my sound_num_speakers was already at 2.

Looks like this

sound_num_speakers 

doesn't matter, the game takes windows channel config and use that. mine is also set to 2, but I run 8 channel setup and it works.

After the update, can't remember which one exactly for me it's back to normal.
