Why does the death countdown sometimes count down really fast?

When a teammate is downed before me, sometimes my death timer ticks down so fast that I die way before them. Why is that?

I might be wrong but the more times you go down and the faster the timer go down I think,even if it should be true only when you reach high rounds.
Waiting someone else to debunk or confirm this.

yes i noticed the more you go down the faster your timer ticks down.
and i think, resets whenever you spawn back in again? thats what i assume anyways

Everytime you get downed your timer starts to tick faster and faster everytime and i assume its to make it realistic, because getting gunned down multiple times then getting stabbed by a needle makes it like you never got shot totally makes sense. and the timer doesn't reset until you get respawned.
