Have you changed something in the game folder like the vidconf file? Make sure vidconf file is not a read-only file. Check it by right clicking it and find the read-only check box. If thats not the problem, you can use vidconf file to change your streaming budget settings in game.

To do so:
1. Go to C:\Users\YOUR USER\Saved Games\Respawn\Apex\local
2. Find vindconf file and right click it to make sure it's not on read-only option.
3. In vidconf, find setting.stream_memory and change the value to 80000 for example to use 8GB vram, 60000 for 6GB, 40000 for 4GB and so on it's up to you :D. If you're done, save the file, right click the vidconf file and use read-only option to prevent the settings reseting everytime you boot the game.

Note: when the vidconf is read-only, the in game video settings is "locked" to the current state and you can't change it. If you want to, untick the read-only option and then change the in game video settings. When you change something with the non read-only vidconf file, the value is reset to default (in your case it's the stream memory) so you need to re-input the value, save it and tick read-only again.

do they reset to high or low values? check from Geforce experience if you have it. if this issue is new it might be a bug because the game is really buggy lately.
Resets all time to none,i have to change it to very high in game all time i start playing it..even if in the videoconfig it is set to 60000 and read only no ideea what to do anymore i guess :D

if video config file is ''read only'' then it will reset. I found a forum on EA website that might help. it basically says go to apex files > cfg > then delete "video_settings_saved_quit" and launch the game

Gonna try this, but someone said if u look up if u have it on read only shouldnt change the value i put.
And there is no optimisation on geforce.
