Where to actually see details about character abilities?
I'm new, and it's really annoying how I just fall for abilities so easily. I got killed by knuckle clusters because I'm sorry I didn't realise that it'd kill me if I stayed there. I thought having 4 bars of shield and full health wouldn't allow me to die to a tactical ability.

Why are things like damage numbers, cooldowns, ranges etc not displayed on the legend's page? It makes learning the game much harder since Idon't even know who's who half the time.

Not going to lie beginning to think abilities are ruining the game for me, it's not fun being in a house and then just having AoE coming from everywhere, not really sure how you can put up a solid defense around that.

I'm not really blaming the other people, I just blame myself. I want it to be easier to know what characters specifically do without buying them, otherwise how am I supposed to know what's dangerous, what isn't, and what the weakness of the ability is?

I used to play when Mirage was the only buyable legend (along with one other) and it was quite simple to get the game. But now there's so many characters that I just get killed by abilities, not guns.

There's a lot of different locations, one example is while in game, every time you open the inventory, at the top of the screen you see different tabs, one of those is to see your abilities.

You can also rightclick on the character selection menu.

etc.

You died by knuckle clusters and you're upset, wah wah wah, dude it's 100% your fault. If you see the warning arrow pointing in a direction, move away. Simple as that. You should've moved, but you didn't.

What I'm asking is, how do I know how much damage those knuckle cloisters deal? Is there anywhere that tells me what attacks deal damage?

I should have moved, but didn't? But nothing told me I should have moved? I was told I was being hit, but I didn't know whether staying still, or exposing myself was a better option?

You can only be hit by things such as Knuckle Cluster if the warning arrow shows up.
If it does not, you will not be hurt. Simple as that.
You are just lying now, sad.

What are you saying? I don't understand. What am I lying about? I KNOW I'm going to get hurt, but I don't know by HOW MUCH?

Ok, so tell me please, where in game it's stated how much damage knuckle cluster deals per tick and how many damage ticks are there.

2OP: you should probably look up apex legends wiki or something - usually those are created for every game and contain many details

>gets told you took damage for being in the range
>deflects, now is update "how much damage will i take"

Thank you, when I searched originally it just showed me lots of youtube videos but specifically adding wiki helped :) Hopefully now I can learn specifically about the attacks that kill me rather than ending the game confused. Thanks!

I main fuse and knuckle clusters barely knock 2-3 bars of shield, especially when people are on the move constantly - the idea of the ability is to force people out of cover, you either got shot from somewhere else, you gambled and took 2 knuckle clusters, or you just didnt have 100% shield and hp - also they stick to players

Don’t know why no one has mentioned the firing range yet. Set the game mode from Trios to Firing range. There you’ll be able to practice against dumb AI, see your damage points as well as all the weapons in the game. There’s a way to make the AI move and shoot too but any youtube video will demonstrate that better than I can

Oooh, I forgot about that! I didn't know you could spawn AI in there, I'll give it a try!

Hello, Crystal,

this is a live service game, which means it is constantly changing. That is why there are no static texts in the game giving exact values; instead, whenever values change, the developers publish a Change Log (or Patch Notes). You can ignore those, but if you want to "munchkin" the game, you will need to stay on top of this, follow the published information Reddit or the website of the game.

This is how the world works now.

It's so weird because I used to play dota back in the day and there were even more abilities going around at that point in time, yet it was quite easy to identify what you were killed with even mid-match, so I was just expecting something in-game that explained the abilities really! But thank you, I'll keep my eyes open from now on to see what changes!

The death recap shows you exactly how much damage did each enemy do to you and with what...
