Handling Stress/Anxiety While Playing Apex?
Personally, when I play Apex, I tend to get cold and start to shiver. I did some research and came to the conclusion that the reason why I can get so cold is a mix of adrenaline and the tightening of blood vessels. Meaning, this the combination of stress and focus.

Has anyone else encountered the same problem I have? If so, is there any ways that you've found helpful to prevent this from happening? I've looked up some general tips on handling stress and anxiety, but they're too general and don't really relate to gaming.

dont push yourself if you dont enjoy it , gaming should be for fun and if you are stressed then whats the point , play what you like also your mental health is more important than any game
Couldn't agree with you more. Thank you!

I used to have something similar to this on some games. It definitely helps to play with friends or while listening to music, just to make it more casual. Eventually I got used to some of the stress and didn't take it so seriously, so hopefully you will too! Good luck, friend :apex_pathfinder:

Had anxiety attacks in another game whenever we were getting raided.

Most likely because ARK was a piece of ♥♥♥♥ game where we wasted a week or two farming and building just for it to be destroyed in minutes.

I'd suggest getting a different mindset or getting a chill team to play with.

Might be a meme answer, but Git gud does apply here. Confidence does help quite a bit in these situations, even if you're not the best if you have confidence in your calls and plays, even in the biggest choke of the world as long as you were confident in that round I think that helps quite a lot in minimizing post game salt/stress and mid game panic

It happens in a variety of games where pressure and time sensitive situations make you feel like its all on you and you can become anxious or stressed, unfortunately most competitive games do that, i didn't really get it from cs go, r6 siege or pubg, but dayz on the other hand, does it to me a little, perhaps give other games a go see which one you feel more comfortable playing?

Edit: I just want to add how great people can be in helping another person out whom is going through an issue while gaming, you don't see that in many gaming communities so good on all of you for being mature and respectable.
If anything like what the OP mentioned was said in Rainbow 6 siege discussions, the responses would be disgusting.

Things what I understand after many hours in competetive games:

The more you attach importance to the game (or a specific situation such as bad aiming or missing), the more rought and stress you become.

What I do: I don't give much importance to my missed shots or failed moves. I take a deep breath, relax and enjoy. I try to find my "Flow state". I know that I will study further.

when you gain enough of experience ingame ( fighting, new knowledge of each weapon and the way they work and finaly when you get used to your best Legend ) Naturaly that will dissapear. Resuming that issues are related to yourself confident ingame. You need to gain experience for confidence . That happened to me on COD and the beginner of Apex too. Sorry for my bad english :Thunder_Girl_3:

I have a friend who would get a similar reaction in game to yours. I told him to try playing with no game sound and music instead (just while you are getting used to being in these new situations). He said it was a lot better almost immediately so perhaps give that a shot. He then started to add very soft game sound and increase it over time. Once you notice you are more comfortable at that point then perhaps try using the sound at full levels again (as ultimately it is super important).

It always fascinated me how he reacted that way to the environmental sounds but I can understand it. Especially for a newer player. You don't know where people are, generally, and are always checking your back to make sure you aren't jumped. It would only seem natural for some people to be overwhelmed in such situations.

Best of luck :) [p.s. turn of voice chat in game as well if you get really nervous around people and are solo queue... I still do that to this day sometimes if I'm just trying to vibe in trios]

I had the same issue with almost every PVP games but after playing hours and hours of those games my body kind of adapted towards those games.
Once you have played more of Apex legends those stress and anxiety will subside to an extent but it will always remain as its a part of our Human Psych

Yeah, it's extremely annoying. Even in mixtape, I'm shivering so hard. Then I have to exit and play some PvE/single-player game to warm up and relax again. It's not even cold in my room. I suspect the issue actually goes much deeper, like childhood trauma deep.

Hydrate, wear a sweater and sweatpants to stay warm, anxiety and stress can manifest in different ways and the game's nature is to trigger an adrenaline response anyway. Deep breaths, stretching, etc, help.
