Most likely because ARK was a piece of ♥♥♥♥ game where we wasted a week or two farming and building just for it to be destroyed in minutes.
I'd suggest getting a different mindset or getting a chill team to play with.
Might be a meme answer, but Git gud does apply here. Confidence does help quite a bit in these situations, even if you're not the best if you have confidence in your calls and plays, even in the biggest choke of the world as long as you were confident in that round I think that helps quite a lot in minimizing post game salt/stress and mid game panic
Edit: I just want to add how great people can be in helping another person out whom is going through an issue while gaming, you don't see that in many gaming communities so good on all of you for being mature and respectable.
If anything like what the OP mentioned was said in Rainbow 6 siege discussions, the responses would be disgusting.
The more you attach importance to the game (or a specific situation such as bad aiming or missing), the more rought and stress you become.
What I do: I don't give much importance to my missed shots or failed moves. I take a deep breath, relax and enjoy. I try to find my "Flow state". I know that I will study further.
It always fascinated me how he reacted that way to the environmental sounds but I can understand it. Especially for a newer player. You don't know where people are, generally, and are always checking your back to make sure you aren't jumped. It would only seem natural for some people to be overwhelmed in such situations.

Once you have played more of Apex legends those stress and anxiety will subside to an extent but it will always remain as its a part of our Human Psych
