Handling Stress/Anxiety While Playing Apex?
Personally, when I play Apex, I tend to get cold and start to shiver. I did some research and came to the conclusion that the reason why I can get so cold is a mix of adrenaline and the tightening of blood vessels. Meaning, this the combination of stress and focus.

Has anyone else encountered the same problem I have? If so, is there any ways that you've found helpful to prevent this from happening? I've looked up some general tips on handling stress and anxiety, but they're too general and don't really relate to gaming.

The only time I ever really feel that kinda thing is when I'm the only left on my team at the final ring.

I can only imagine the only way to get over that feeling is having enough of those experiences until you're used to it.

Maybe do you drink some coffee too ? it is a vasoconstrictor and it improves these negative effects too. For me, it is the perfect opposite, I sweat a bit during gameplay.
I can't really help you but I just can tell you these advices: warm yourself in the Firing range before to play & to wear warm clothes or to use so heaters to be fine early. Probably you will not get cold too fast. Or maybe can you do some physical activities between two games to stay warm ?

I have a similar issue. Back when I started playing Rainbow Six Siege by myself, I would panic if I was last, and would shiver so bad to where I couldn't aim. After a decent bit of playing, you get used to it.

keep trying, and stay calm :steamhappy:

Thank you! I've been entering fights the best I can in Apex because I think the same way; that I'll get used to it. I haven't really seen an change but I have noticed I am getting a bit better at the game so maybe that'll help.

My life starts with coffee every morning lol. I have worn warm clothes to counteract the chilliness but I guess that feeling is still there. I'll try a shot a coffee before I play to see what happens. Thank you!

I've been entering fights to the best of my ability for the past couple of months now and I have't really seen a change besides my performance in game. Maybe that will help. Thank you!

I have noticed this in other games besides Apex. I think it could be because of how fast paced the game is. Growing up, I only played turn based games and such so maybe I'm just not used to playing at such a fast pace? Either way, thank you for your comment!

dont push yourself if you dont enjoy it , gaming should be for fun and if you are stressed then whats the point , play what you like also your mental health is more important than any game

It comes down to expirience. When you are close to victory in a game that you are not playing for so long that feeling is everpresent.I had it when I was new to PUBG or APEX or CSGO when i was 1 vs 5.Heartrate goes up and im focused. Its the Adrenaline. Now days i dont feel sh1it except rage when going in solo with randoms and dying in the 1st min of the match. xD
Its normal and will go eventually....that way you know you are getting older :D

You'll get used to it. Alternatively, you can drink a beer or two before the game to reduce stress. It helps me :)

I know it's rough when you get rude team mates and get 2nd place, but remember; this is a video game. It's made to be challenging but also above all, fun. You can take it seriously and get competitive, but don't forget that we're all just a bunch of people online looking for a good time. I'm sorry if I'm sounding like I'm hand waving the stress you feel, but I just want you to remember that the point of video games is to be entertained, not have it as a second job. It's not the end of the world when you lose and we all make mistakes. Take the missteps and losses as things you have to improve on and do your best to play better next game.

Also some people are ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and don't know when to shut up. Screw them; just leave. They ain't worth your or anyone's time
