A Developer Deep Dive into Servers and Netcode
Server issues is a common complaint so I figured some might be interested in the blog post about it.

interesting read.

"This is the reason that almost any time you deal with a bit of nonsense like getting shot while behind a wall or getting hit right as you come around a corner, it’s probably due to unavoidable variation in latency between players and the way our system distributes it."

This seems exploitable............

Not really. You'd have to be able to predict if it will be you who rounds a corner to spot an enemy, or the other way round, and somehow throttle your network connection accordingly.

Yeah, it's a good read & pretty rare for devs to share that kind of info in such a manner. Believe they got a Q&A about servers at reddit if people are interested in that.

Unavoidable yet every other game can avoid it. What a load of bullsh*t.

Every game suffers from this problem when there are latency issues.

Apex's lag compensation is turned off if a player has more than 300ms ping, iirc.
If they cut that number down to under 200 there'd already be a significant improvement.

So in other words: The devs are aware of these issues, STILL haven't fixed them, and its been nearly a year since this blog post? Good to know.
