Who is better Octane or Revenant

Im almost lvl 23 (im lvl 21) so im aqbout to buy a legend and im torn betwean Octane and revenant, pls tell me your opinion

Octane is more fun yes, and better, as much as i prefer revenant octtane is better, (whoever you can get some really nice plays with his passive)

Revenant's ultimate is super useful when used correctly.... while Octane's ultimate may be the worse in the game.... and still, I agree Octane is more fun to play (And more fun as a character) and probably better overall than Revenant because of his tactical and passive abilities.

As a lvl 500 who's been playing since day 1, I think Octane is your best choice if you're looking to have fun and play casually. However, if you plan on playing competitively with some friends, Revenant's abilities provide very strong team utility, and can help shift the tide in a firefight. Octane's only team ability is his ult, which can be helpful for team rotations, but Revenant is definitely the better ranked choice. So ultimately, it depends on whether you want to play casually, or put in the ranked grind.

JarGoGole points out that Octane will be getting a change very soon(probably season 9), however, it's not a very impactful change. Most likely they will decrease his stim cooldown, and to counteract it they will make the stim do 20 dmg instead of 12. This will not take away the best parts of Octane, and 8 dmg octane can heal quite quickly. This change will just let you choose between spamming stim and always being low health, or strategically use the stim, and not overuse it to keep you at or near max hp.

Octances Jumpad is currently the most powerful Movementability in the Game.
That's why Octanve, Rev + Bloodhound/Gibby is the most used Combo in Predatorlobbys.

Octane or Horizon are (currently) the first 2 legends to pick because both of them are the strongest (purchable) Legends when it comes to Soloqueue.

We need to see how the nerfs with the next patch will affect them. But currently there is no need for any discussions.


The problem with Rev is that he is only strong with 2 other Teamplayers.

But 98% of the Randoms you will meet are unable to move forward without creating an accident let alone have any tactical understanding of the Game.

at all depends on your play style and skill if you are at least decent at the game and can hold up in a 1v2 then pick octane if your not that good but still want to push fights pick rev
