Is caustic good?

Hi im new to the game and i herd caustic got a nerf and im not sure to get him

He can be fun but in some cases, he's pretty underpowered. I think others are better to get first at this point

Like all legends, it depends how you play him. he is great if you are a new player. trapping is his speciality and is the best trapper in the game. also with saying that he has a big hitbox and not great in open fights.

He is quite weak.

His defensive potential has been hindered a lot and his aggressive potential is relying on his ultimate which can be dodged easily.

I'd suggest choosing another legend.

Caustic is good in small spaces where his traps become annoying for other players.

I main caustic, and I will tell you to buy another legend. Weak now, once strong, Caustic has an unusual playstyle for a legend. No other legend plays like him. I suggest grabbing Valkyrie, Mirage and Fuse first. They are really fun to play.

That'd require the building actually be a zone you HAVE to break into, and even then, sometimes you can camp it out on the roof

I main caustic this season simply because I got a sick skin on him , he is ok but octane , horizon , mirage , wraith ,bloodhound are better , maybe pathfinder too if you master grabling

hes garbage, arguably the weakest legend in the game right now.

ppl just dont respect your gas anymore and ive seen clips of ppl challenging caustics in-doors and straight out reviving inside the gas.

honestly, wattson or rampart is a better defensive legend. Caustic's gas barely damages people and isnt very obscuring so you can see into it. Its also easier to shoot out traps.

Caustic is fun if you use him like an A-hole. Jump in hot in a building and gas trap a room with only one way in or out but save one trap, Lure an enemy in and then run out throwing a trap in front of the door locking them in with the gas. Only really works after landing since the enemy probably only has one gun or they are trying to melee. But if your new use someone with speed or movement abilities. Caustic is slow and a fairly big target.

Caustic is the same speed as any other legend, it's just the animation making him look slow.

Seconding this. I'd add Octane to the list of fun ones, especially if you like playing full tilt aggressive.
