To those who dont use mics in game why?

I always wonder why people dont use their mics in game, most of the time i have ever heard a mic is after people die wondering why i couldnt read their mind they were in a fight.

I don't know about the others, but i find the problem to be the social anxiety and the fear that someone could make fun of my voice or insult me, this game community is great but some people are just super toxic (i'm talking to you ttvs).

Because the amount of games I lose due to no mic communication is small next to the amount of headaches I get from people:
1) Breathing heavily with the mic way to close to their mouth
2) Playing music at a stupidly high volume
3) Making noses into the mic that in no way resemble speech

Which judging your negative piss poor attitude is not very many people i assume you poor soul. Its really quite simple - i say "hello guys" if nobody replies i mute my mic - if somebody talks - we use coms - iv no idea what this whole thread is about tbh it`s a complete nonsense, im sorry that its your post i used to jump in on. Voice coms are more effective than a ping system, end of discussion. Also i dunno if anyone`s mentioned to all you lot but you are allowed to use both, crazy i know.

Imo just mute the squad and yourself if you don't want to talk. It frustrates me, and i bet other people to see a mic user who don't say anything until they die. There is no better accurate and fastest way other than your voice to give info. If you say no, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, unless u have have medical related problem with speaking. Sometimes people also talk differently when its not in person, Different mics, different output, etc. I myself like a talkative team, but i know when to shut up and focus, but sometimes i just wanna goof around. Nobody is a mind reader. Tell your squad the play style you want to play the game and if they don't like it, ♥♥♥♥'em. That's when you go single player or go find some new squad.

I don't feel comfortable using my mic, even with the few people I play with in other games .
Also there was this time one dude called me 'babe' and it felt weird.
I don't use my mic, but I do ping things like 'hostile here, someone was here, defending here, going here, should we go this way?" and these. Sometimes I do use the text chat to ask my teamates if I should use my Lifeline ulti, or if I died, telling them where I saw the enemy and how many are they, or if i hear footsteps... hahah
Also, i'm not a native english speaker and most of my teammates are, so... I can't keep up with the talking, writing sometimes works fine.
Not everyone you team up with speaks the same language, remember that y'all hahah

ranked/cas - I won't use a mic simply because I don't want too, Some will see that as throwing because they care about winning to much rather than just having fun. I'll use callouts when i feel it's really needed or to say GG (win/lose). other than that it boild down to most people just don't care to use mics and some don't like using them. It also doesn't help that the in game mic system is terrible sounding of course a good mic helps but the in game mic system is always making it a bother to hear people most the time.

Imo randoms on coms aren't usually helpful at all.

Causing distractions or saying "one hit" when I had to do 100+ to even down the person.

i need say my brother hate apex and we living in same basement for living. He plays rdr 2 and i play apex in same account we fight much for this thats why i dont use mic. he can get angry

I can understand why ppl dont use their mic but people who dont use their mic AND the ping system are a mystery. Like Apex gives you the ability to communicate without using your voice and they just ignore it?

I would go as far as to say a good ammount of players dont even know about the ping system. I dont remember whether or not it was explained in the tutorial, but even if it was: The % ammount of players that pay attention to things in tutorials these days is about the same % ammount as games on Steam that offer a demo.

well people care about items pings but a good 75% dont really give a ♥♥♥♥ about enemy ping when they are at lootcrates or so.......

i see alot of people pinging loot and enemies but im more annoyed by people who see the "enemy" ping as the order to engage or who downright ignore it when they are looting

like hey u see im shot, i ping the enemy location but you move after i was knocked down, killed and you are shot at...... good teamplay....

that teamates loot your deathcrate despite rewpawn beacon being 20m away and... also needing 2 minuts to respawn you cause looting all deathcrates inclusing yours is more important....

majority of the players just dont play for objectives or actually see it as a team game anyway....... seriously

and i mute mic by default simply cause most of the time people only use it to complain, there are people who use it to sa what they are doing etc. but also had alot o literally kiddies who flame why u didnt help when they were engaging solo 200m away from the other 2 and died within seconds..... and dcing 10 seconds after..... xD
