1. You have the misfortune of coming across one or two a-hole players who simply love to troll people. You'd probably see early signs of this in the way they talk to you or chat with you or how they talk among themselves, so if that happens, I strongly suggest recording the match as video proof in case something really bad happens.
2. You have done something so toxic that the other players decide to try to exact a vengeance on you - to punish you in some way. For instance, maybe you stole all their dibsed loot, refused to share ammo, stayed out of combat but then looted all the good stuff from enemy deathboxes while your squad mates were healing up after a tough battle; or maybe you're one of those obnoxious kids who scream into a microphone, refuse to mute your background music or switch to push-to-talk when you have a loud family member behind you, and so your squad mates who cannot (for some reason) mute you, have to deal with you as a constant source of frustration. Or maybe you ping like an a-hole, drowning out all other noises, again making survival difficult. In that case, they may either refuse to revive you, refuse to grab your banner, or refuse to respawn you after grabbing it -- perhaps to enjoy the little while of quiet when you can no longer ping like crazy.
I don't want to hear your defense that "No, I would never be #2 ! You get it all wrong!" I really hope this was #1, but sadly, way too many players in this game are #2, and that then kinda sorta breeds the thing that you experienced.
If only we could all get a bit more chill, accept that it's just a game, and stop treating each other like scum...
