Yeah, and this "software" is Apex and it's newest patch. Why is it so hard to believe the patch is giving people this much trouble?
No, this wasn't around for multiple seasons , it was a few times this has happened before.
What does it tell you if 2 "same" CPU's are not reacting the same way when playing the game? Perhaps it's not hardware issue?
It is weird that this started happening right after the patch, don't you think?
How could it be that system config or CPU has changed right at that time?

I can find more if you want. It's a known issue. Some reply with the "fix" they did. Some just stop replying. Just because it happened after the patch, doesn't mean it is in no way software related. On my PC i can literally replicate the issue forcefully through Windows Defender exploit settings and fix the game so it works normally again with the same settings. Also there could be infringing software from an Easy anti-cheat update or something similar in code.. It MAY or MAY not be related directly to APEX LEGENDS, but the same issue can be caused by the client..
What two people having the same hardware tells me is what I was trying to convey to you is that Apex is the same across all PC's. That doesn't change. So if it happens on one and not the other, it is something else.
I didn't have BSOD but my cpu ran so super hot so that is started to smell burnt,
I had to shut down the machine. It was damn Apex hogging it. It's working fine now because I am not playing the game. I also abuse my CPU for daily work and this never happened before. Literally never has any of my computer machines been put on a verge of melting, since 1985.
I am also convinced it's not hardware related but it can be put both ways I guess, drivers ,software running the hardware etc. It doesn't matter.
Anyways , you can't fix it nor is it your duty to do so. They need to patch this ♥♥♥♥ and deliver optimized product. Not make customers jump hoops and tweak system in order to play the game. People are just going to play something else.
-------------
You know win10 updates are kinda dangerous sometimes ,right.
So sometimes it happens that an update bricks someone's machine(s) but not the machine of the other guy. The update is the same. The customers are not guilty for their rigs, it's Microsoft's fault that they deliver ♥♥♥♥ updates.
If it's not Apex and people have the same machines, what can it be then?
Software? Which one? Why is apex legends process showing 100% usage?
And, as usual, this issue will be magically fixed via the new game patches.
I have i7-9700k and the game takes 100% cpu usage at start and in lobby. In actual game it starts to go lower, but in lobby the usage is 100%

So it's clear it's the game causing it.
Also to add
The game usually takes 2 minutes in black screen before starting up, so to say infinite loading screen. Which it didn't in prev patch.
Is it possible that Titanfall hackers are mining our PCS? I have no other answer for this issue for real
