FPS Drop
I have a much better laptop as compared to recommended specs of Apex Legends, like i7 9th gen, GTX 1650 GPU. Still i am getting only 30-40 fps in game, even 20 sometimes. Didn't understand why also my settings are all low and basic optimisation are done like maximum power performance and 1650 high performance selected in Laptop's GPU settings. Can someone explain the problem.

The Problem is your Laptop GPU, GTX1650 is not really a Strong GPU and there it is a Laptop, its also an Onboard GPU. That means that it have also less Power then a real 1650 Graphic Card. You wont get more then the 30-40FPS if you dont want to play with a Resolutio of 720P or below. Sry but Laptops will never have the same Performance you will get out of a PC. Next time dont waste your Money and build a Real PC.

For one, your GPU is actually worse than the recommended GTX 970, so the CPU you have doesn't even matter (even though you didn't specify the exact model). I used to have issues playing the game with a GTX 1070 and having stable frames. So the FPS you have pretty much what I would expect with your hardware.. Not to mention the temperature issues laptops tend to have which would limit the hardware even more when compared to the desktop counterpart. Also what is your resolution you're playing at?

this is not a problem from player's side. this problem has been happening since last update to many players with different PC specifications and different plataforms.
it's weird how my boyfriend can play with no problem with the same internet conection and wih almost the same computer. he got a intel processor and I have a ryzen one. but there's ppl with intel that have the same problem.
EA at the moment don't give any official answer and ur machine it's ok to play the game because I've been playing long time ago in a computer worst than ur machine and my game was very smoth. this problem is from the server side.

With all settings in low i was able to get 70-90 fps with an ancient 3rd gen i5 and a 660ti, set things at low

Play at fullscreen, you get higher framerates than borderless window

Also set your resolution to 1080, if you have a 2k or 4k monitor it will set itself to that res by default and your card cant take it

btw, the 1650 is pretty bad, only slightly better than the ancient 660ti, so do not expect 60fps at modern-ish games while higher than medium settings at 1080

edit: oh also go to the nvidia panel and set texture filtering quality and power management to high performance
