EDIT: This does work, just go blue zones with Loba and hope for a helm or armor then farm crates after

Nope, I had all the other achievements in like ~10h or so and noticed that it didn't unlock for some reason. I've had both pieces at least 5 times so I'm sure it's just bugged.

I think so too. I've still have only had it twice since the shop goes purple to red on the EVO. The only thing I've yet to try is using a vehicle and simply spamming the crates in hopes of getting both legendary shield and helmet in the same match that way

I found that out the hard way two games ago, gonna edit that post

I've been having a hard time getting both gold helmet and gold shield. I found shield a couple times but not the helmet. It will be easier when World's Edge rotates back in since we'll be able to check all the vaults for them.
