I don't think you will have a chance when you start, but once you get the grasp of it, its really fun, even if you lose. As long as you practice I think you can be pretty good. I'm also fairly new so I get your point of view.

Some games have too much smurfs and harsh skill based mm systems for newbies, I want to know if I will get dominated all the time since I am a newbie ? or will I get matched with similar newbie players ? Getting ass whooped all the time ain't fun you know xD

Don't compare it to that ♥♥♥♥, 99% toxicity unless you mute them.

At the begining you will be matchmaked much more likely with other newbies, but as you progress likely you will start seeing more skill levels in the match. Your first matches will propably just be you getting used to mechanics and stuff, so dying quickly is most likely going to happen. Apex is easy to learn, so it shouldn't take long get to used on the basics.

It is BR, so winning is not the point here, so don't worry, try it and have fun.
Game is very friendly, you don't have to fight interface. It has so much things to know how to use, tonns of trics. Start playing a little, then watch some "tips and tricks" on youtube, remember cool things, try to use them...
Tons of fun! Also, if your teammates got frustarted bcz of your lack of skill, they can't blame you, cuz game is ended and you separated forever, so there is very little toxiticy in comparison to other games.

I would say just try the game out and see if you like it, don't judge it from the first couple games and immediately decide you hate it. Hash it out for a bit longer if you can. Some people can't get into certain characters or compare it to some other random BR game they've played and quit. Experience it with some real playtime, find out what character matches your play style the best.

try play ranked when you can, you'll be put against new players because you start in bronze 4 (lowest rank)

edit: you need to be level 10 to start playin ranked

well its a br game so its not entirely skill dependent. if u have better gear etc. than ur oponent and he isnt a really good player u have good chances
They claim there is sbmm, but honestly debatable. Depending on how good you are to begin with, you probably will have a hard time just letting you know. How many hours you play will generally determine how good you become. When i first started I got my ass whooped for days before i got a kill, now im pretty good. Not a lot of newbies so you be mostly going against decent players. It is a rewarding game that i keep coming back too.

oh, and when you find decent teammates, don't hesitate to invite them for next game; nothing helps more than teaming with people who know their way around the map(s)
