Banned for no reason?

I tried to play the game after like months or almost a year of not touching it and it says I've been banned for no apparent reason whenever I try to load into a game.

Had the same issue, sent'em an email and they revoked the ban.

Its a free game, what would anyone have to gain by hacking your account? Why wouldn't they just make their own?
I have never understood the logic in this. And if hypothetically they did steal your account how did you get back on it seeing the first thing they would do is change the login info?

If your account has been hacked and used by a cheater, it can be banned.

I don't think so. They clearly made a mistake banning hundreds of people who did absolutely nothing. The suspicious behavior they mention in the email is just an excuse. It's clear to me that nobody used my account, and from my consistently abysmal performance in the game it should be clear that no cheating or exploitation was involved.

nah is the new update issue to the server it just ban alot of people without reason even tho inside the EA ban history have nothing in it

Absolutely false. I had no evidence of random logins. I didn't send'em any evidence of not cheating, and they revoked the ban. The same ban they claim I got for cheating. This recent ban wave is not driven by any unauthorized access or cheating. They clearly made a mistake banning alot of innocent people. What caused the mistake isn't clear, but I suspect their servers are messed up. For the last few weeks they've been up and down continuously, then when I try to login to the game, it tells me I am temporarily banned from the server, but EA's email says it's a permanent ban for cheating and when I login to EA's web-site it says I've no bans at all. Do you see how messed up things are ?
