Play without EA app

If you want to play the game but not install the EA app you can do so by following this route.

"SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Jedi Fallen Order\SwGame\Binaries\Win64\SwGame-Win64-Shipping.exe"

Or you can right click on the game in the library and go to local files. There follow:

"\SwGame\Binaries\Win64\SwGame-Win64-Shipping.exe"

Does it prevent playtime being updated and achievements and trading cards being unlocked? For me the measurement of time has not been updated even though I've been playing for about 30 mins - one hour

you don't need to meddle with EA launcher, steam does that everything for you, you will automatically have an account. Steam will briefly call into EA launcher to launch the game. Sounds like daisy chaining but it will start automatically.

I can confirm.

I have the EA app on my PC, when I tried this method it did open the EA app (after launching) and wanted me to log in, but I just closed it and continued on. It ran fine without me being logged in, and without the EA app being open.

This solution should honestly be pinned.

Literally can't run the game even registering with EA. Just get the EA popup and then it closes. I'll give this a try.

Confirming. This method circumvents the broken EA launcher (I.E. "Background services have been disabled" error)

I still have the EA running even after doing this. There was an update when I launched it so they may have "fixed" this

Such an awesome price, and this no launcher trick almost got me. But F EA. I do not support them since they abandoned SIm City in the mess it is.
