Can't link Steam and Origin accounts
So here's the problem:
I buy the game on Steam
I need to install Origin first
I install it
Then I need to link Steam and Origin accounts
I launch the game to do so
The window to link the accounts flashes for a split second, then disappears. It says it's open on my task bar, but I see only my windows screen.
Does anybody have a fix? I tried uninstalling then reinstalling Origin, but that didn't fix it.

Before playing for the first time... make sure you have Origin installed, an account setup, and you remember the password. In your Origin directory, right-click on EALink.exe. Select Properties. Select the Compatability Tab. Click the Change High DPI Settings button towards the bottom. Check the box near the bottom for Override high DPI scaling behavior. Select System from the drop down. Click Okay. If you have a high DPI monitor and you don't do this (or haven't and are stuck) you may not be able to play the game as the Origin link gets stuck in a fault loop.

So if I've tried to launch it multiple times, I'm screwed and should just refund it?

No. You either need to kill the Origin processes and start over, or, if you don't know how to do this, restart your machine and try again.

How do I kill the Origin processes? Uninstall Origin and the game and start from scratch?

I am reinstalling the game with Origin installed. It signs me in automatically.

You can do it in Task Manager. There will be two Origin processes running and you need to kill both.

Or, better, you'll get it running, put in a few hours, and completely forget this thread exists. ;)
