Jedi Fallen Order wont launch
SO i bought JFO off steam and when i press play it launches origin for about 2 seconds than it minimizes it to a small glitchy bar in the top left corner and from there i cant really do anything except close origin.

So far I've:

Reinstalled game
updated nvidea
uninstalled / reinstalled origin
Restarted computer (multiple times including a clean boot )

So far nothing has changed.

I was having this issue as well and did some research on other threads. I was finally able to fix it by changing the compatibility settings for Origin since the game relies on Origin to launch. Try this:

1. Right click Origin and open properties
2. Go to Compatibility tab and click Change settings for all users
3. Click the box to Run this program as an administrator
4. Click Apply and OK to save the settings
5. Launch the game from Steam (you should get a prompt asking you to launch Origin, click Yes)

Make sure you have already launched Origin once and logged in to your EA account with it. You don't need to keep it open when launching from Steam, just login to it once and close it out. Hope this helps!

The above probably will not help given the described issue. If it does, great. If it doesn't:

Before playing for the first time... make sure you have Origin installed, an account setup, and you remember the password. In your Origin directory, right-click on EALink.exe. Select Properties. Select the Compatability Tab. Click the Change High DPI Settings button towards the bottom. Check the box near the bottom for Override high DPI scaling behavior. Select System from the drop down. Click Okay. If you have a high DPI monitor and you don't do this (or haven't and are stuck) you may not be able to play the game as the Origin link gets stuck in a fault loop.

I was going to test the settings kdodds recommended but I went back in and turned off the compatibility settings I had already configured first. The game has successfully launched multiple times through Steam or by launching directly from Origin. I guess it just needed to run as local admin initially but run as admin or high DPI settings are not needed now. Not going to question it anymore at this point. Time to play!

Appreciated :)
One of the described methodes, or both combined (cannot tell now), helped me. Thanks, guys!

The solution I recommended should work. Please post the exact steps you took to resolve it and I'll try to help identify where there is still a problem.

You shouldn't need to enter a CD key. Steam just needs to communicate properly with Origin to passthrough the activation and allow it to work. Install Origin and create an account, then try the steps below. Let me know if you need me to further clarify anything.

1. Right click Origin and open properties
2. Go to Compatibility tab and click Change settings for all users
3. Click the box to Run this program as an administrator
4. Click Apply and OK to save the settings
5. Open Origin and login to your account (tell it to remember your login)
6. Restart your computer (just to be thorough)
7. Launch the game from Steam (you should get a UAC prompt asking you to launch Origin, click Yes)

You should see a pop-up window that says "Connecting to Origin" and shortly after that you should see the splash screen for Jedi Fallen Order and the game will launch.

You do not own the game on Steam.

If you intially tried to log in to Origin with a bad password, it may be remembering that password. Not sure, but it's something to look into. Also, if you haven't restarted or killed the Origin processes (there are two running when you try to link), it won't start a new process, just remain stuck in the old one. So, if you haven't restarted, you may want to try that.

Ive tried every method that this has said and it still has not worked. The login screen for Origin pops up for a second but then goes to a glitchy screen and won't load up. I don't know what to do at this point

im having the same issue with origin. im using a windows 10 pc and it doesnt even load, just shows up for a sec in task manager and closes out, but on my old dying windows 8 laptop it loads just fine. i did hear that origin has trouble loading in windows 10. does anyone have a work around or something. also use i did the steps from above and much more and still nothing works, if feels like something is actively keeping origin from loading.

I am running Windows 10 as well and was able to get it to work by using the steps mentioned previously. Maybe try running Windows updates as you could be missing some updates that might help address the problem. Make sure you have the latest version of Origin installed. You might need to try uninstalling Jedi Fallen Order and re-installing with Origin already installed. Also, make sure the account you are logged in with is an administrator.
