Cere is a terrible character (spoilers)
Are you telling me that this random woman was so powerful that she was able to bring Darth ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Vader to his knees? She also has such a Mary Sue backstory, so cliche. And what the hell is up with her bulging eyes? Looks like a basilisk from dark souls.

how cute, were your manly feels hurt by the (temporarily) strong girl? Its OK, your mommy will hug you if you ask her.
What's your problem?
I'm here to say one thing: She is awesome!

Bye folks.

(Unsubed)
Cere had the best fight scene in the game, too. Two people who needed each other met and set each other on the right path.

Next thing we know, there will be Ewoks and Wookiee Shaman casting healing spells in Star Wars, and the force won’t even be special anymore. :) so I believe this proves Cere is a terrible character, but one that hasn’t done any lasting damage to Star Wars or the Force. But bringing in characters that expand the universe to magick might have.

Can't "bring in" something that has been cannon for a long time.

Had some great story arc's in the Clone Wars series.

It’s not ok, and already explained why.

It is ok, and no, your lack of understanding Star Wars lore is not an explanation.

I don't like her character development. She's a failed jedi, sever her connection with the force, but acting superior like Cal's master and "guiding" Cal. *SPOILER* in the end she even knights him, i mean who do you think you are?

I mean again she had padawans and was a Knight/Master so even with the order all but gone she still does out rank Cal so she 100% had the right to knight him why she used a red saber is another question didn't she still have hers but cal was using it why not use her old one?

I don't believe you know what a Mary Sue is.

Cere is a terrible supporting cast character for Cal Kestis from a story telling perspective, but she as a lady turned out to be a nice person. Can’t just throw her out of the game story. At least Cal has more story going on with his own Teacher. I thought that everyone at least voiced their characters well. The acting was quite well. What’s worse, Cere, or the writers throwing a Witch onto the player’s team right near the end? The Nightsister Witch sends Malicos into the pit (basically to hell) alive, and Cal doesn’t even feel a bit sad for him. Come on, not everybody’s Cal Kestis has that kind of mean spirit. And Cal just suddenly trusts her. No thanks, and neither does Cere’s character (wise). And not even an attempt to talk to her about maybe giving up Witchcraft, which would basically be a form of Dark Side Force Powers to a Jedi. What’s the difference in letting Malicos be an ally and help, then, like he offered. And in either case it makes Cal look like he doesn’t care about the Good Jedi path, despite how much the game tries hard to make Cal Kestis out to know all the Jedi Training. Cal is a Bitter character, speaks straight forward most of the time, and never relaxes much except when he’s with Prauf and BD-1. And Praud was murdered. So it’s easy to see why our protagonist would be extremely cold, but not evil. The Nightsister jokes just weren’t even funny on the ship later. “I eat raw meat!”, and her Ritual to turn the ship invisible. Just killed the story by having Witch Magick. Plus people seem to be forgetting how strict good Jedi are supposed to be. And Cal Kestis pretty much killed Malicos while standing up for all the Jedi Code and Tradition of the Order. And all those snobby Masters that supposedly brought the Order to destruction because of stinky tradition. It’d be hypocritical if Cal just runs off with a witch who has powers of hell. Oh well, at least this game isn’t first person or anything.
See the thing about merrin though is that she's really hot and that's why it's ok

Maybe so, but she's into chicks (one of her stories proves this) so all you'll get to do is look!
The OP post got me thinking... Why exactly we are led to believe that Darth Vader is all that great? He really only shined on Rogue One against a bunch of regular troopers... before that he was chopped to pieces by Obi Wan when he was young and on the peak of his strength. After that, he fought old Obi Wan again and wasn't particularly winning either and Obi Wan let him win... then he fought Luke (a guy who basically had no training) and even though he wasn't really trying to kill him, he was having a bit of trouble fighting Luke on Episode 5 and got his ass kicked on episode 6... To a guy with very little training. Soo... remind me again why another Jedi can't be strong enough to bring him to his knees? Vader is not that powerful as far as canon had shown us.

Comic Canon, TV Show Canon and Game Canon, he is great.
Movie canon varies due to film releases and age. There is a fine line between having trouble, being passive and toying.

He was toying with Obi-wan because of his age and strength. Obi-wan let him win because he was going to die by Darth Vader anyway, Episode 5 he only wanted to convert Luke and is more on the defensive than offensive and in Ep 6 he only lost because he has conflict about his issue with Luke and Luke tapped to the dark side to beat Vader. Essentially you have a person who only want to incapacitate and is confused vs someone who wants to kill and is determined.

He lost to Obi-wan at his peak because of his arrogance and overconfidence.

The whole thing stems on the background of you learned, not what you see. Ceres more likely got him to his knees because he was caught by surprised that she used the power of the dark side that exceeded Trilla.

You gotta remember she doesn't probably understand any of that ♥♥♥♥ considering how she grew up. The nightsisters weren't the nicest to nightbrothers
