Preloading the game?
Will we be able to preload the game 1 or 2 days before release? Would like to play soon as it comes out.

I think Origin Preload starts on the 12th. Steam probably gets it the same time Origin does, more or less.

Are there any differences between buying this on Origin or buying it on Steam ? for example one platform needing to be online to play it compared to the other/both platforms recieving any patches at the same time etc.

Do you refer to the monthly/yearly premier subscription available on Origin ?

Thanks for the link and clarification about early acsess, i was more interested in whether we get regular patches/offline play capability on both platforms. Thanks for all replies.

No, you can't. Respawn came out and specifically said that you can't play the game early with EA access or Origin Access or Origin Premiere so that there will be no story spoilers until the day of release for everyone. Ideally, that would mean that everyone gets to play at the same time, but we all know that's never going to happen because people have busy lives and stuff as well as the fact that the people on the Western seaboard of the US get the game unlocked 3 hours earlier than people on the Eastern seaboard and people in the UK get it unlocked like 6-9 hours earlier than the eastern US seaboard.
I wouldn't pre-load unless my internet connection is really, really slow. After pre-downloading the validation of files takes a long, long time. I pre-loaded Dark Souls 3 back in the day, in the time it took it to validate files I could have downloaded the game at least 2 times. SSD's for gaming were not so popular back in the day, but still, I preffer to download day one no matter what.

Because of the way that timezones work, all of our copies will unlock at the same time. Everyone east of UTC until the date line will get it on the 14th, and everyone in or past UTC will get it on the 15th.

This is very interesting and good to know.
Dose anyone know if they fixed it or if its still a common problem?

I've only had this issue with Rdr2 on the Rockstar launcher.
Preloaded it in 1 hour exactly.. And decrypted it in almost 1 hour as well lol.

So I think it's going to be the same for any large file game.

So i have the game pre-ordered on Origin and it tells me when i click on it in my game page that the preload will be on 11th Nov at 6pm GMT and that i will have access to the game on the 14th Nov at 11pm GMT i also received an email to say that i will have access to play the game on the said time i mentioned. So i hope this helps as i live in the UK not sure how this affects the different time zones for every one else.
GM Pax Nov 11, 2019 @ 7:56am
From what I have gathered/seen, Preload and Launch are based officially on the CET timezone. GMT+1, in other words.

Preload starts at 11pm CET today (that's 10pm GMT, or 6pm U.S. Eastern Time).

The game unlocks at 12amCET on the 15th (that's 11pm on the 14th GMT, or 7pm on the 14th U.S. Eastern Time).

Ok will be able to get back to you all about the 6pm GMT in just under 2 hrs then that could clear the preload going of my info from EA.
ZioYuri78 Nov 11, 2019 @ 8:41am
I bet 19pm CET
iron2010 Nov 11, 2019 @ 10:08am
Ok every one can now confirm that preload is now available as from 6pm GMT as it is preloading as i write this. Again i live in UK so time zones will vary.
