if SC7 ever happens i hope they focus a whole lot on story, actual animated cutscenes, game modes and at least a base roster of 32 characters. also add cloud , zidane and tidus as playable guest characters.

It's about learning. There are simply too many instances of guessing and just pure luck going on for winning or losing to mean much in this genre. You have no control over that. Instead get your sense of reward from learning things such as block punishing, whiff punishing, teching moves etc. from the lab. So when the luck does go your way, you can make cool things happen on the screen. It's almost like a dance with your opponent. Sometimes the luck will go your way, other times it will go your oppon...

I have a theory we can revive this franchise taking advantage of multiple cultural zietgiest sentiments and sales numbers. SoulCalibur 7 looks bleak because projects souls was disbanded and despite selling over 2 million units and being profitable on a shoestring budget Bamco considered it disapointing.
