Demolition blow up fuel tank
So there is 1 Javelin with a lot of fuel tank in the middle center, and some lv3 cut point at some middle sections.
I placed around 10+ demolition charge and double check all of them didn't touch fuel tank hitbox.
:berserk:
Detonate...... BOOM Shiny yellow explosion. Fuel Tank gone. All of them none survive.
How ? :berserk:

Yes great idea to place 10+ bombs next to a bunch of fuel tanks... 🙄
You did not really expect them to NOT blow up... Did you?
As a side note, it's absolutely unneeded to cut these level 3 nodes. I never waste the money for the charges. It all can be salvaged without ever touching the level 3 nodes.

You should zap the square frame that the cutpoints are attached to.

The tank exploded BECAUSE your demolition generates enough shock and have flying pieces of metal flying around which punched the tank.

You mean I just melt the frame that t3 cut point attached right?
I did that before. I just want know any unknown mechanic blow up the fuel tank even the "aoe" did not touch the fuel tank

OK, the "physic force shock" is fair point.
So either developer should make it generate less shock, or we really cant use in that situation :died:

Eventually you will be able to use the demo charges but only after you upgrade them to have a smaller explosion size. When you first get demo charges the explosion is too large even though the damage indicators seem to show it's ok.

The demo chargers without the level 3 self clean up upgrade are pretty pointless. They will always blow up the big fuel tank. Just avoid that ship for the time till you have the upgrades or simply melt away the inner frame, it's just aluminum. not worth much anyway so no big penalty either.

Why don't you just remove the tanks first? Each tank is mounted with three level 1 cut points so you can either use the stinger to melt each one slowly, or the splitsaw to zip them quickly given how wide they are. Heck, if you position yourself right you can zip all three on a single tank with a single shot of the splitsaw.

The cargo javelin fuel tank is impossible to get out without cutting the casing apart, the small ones on the refueling yes, they can be salvaged easily, just vaporize the cut points with the split saw (faster then stinger) and throw them in the barge.

Given that this is about the javs with lots of fuel tanks, then I assume we're talking about the tanker jav. I don't think I've ever seen a cargo jav with more than one tank. For the cargo jav, yeah, just melt some of the aluminum and pull the tank out the back. But either way I've never seen a jav that needs demo charges to remove any of the fuel tanks.

Yeah, the guy was thinking about those grade 3 cutpoints.

It's not. It's about the Heavy Cargo Jav which has it's fuel tank encased in Nanocarbon ribs.

You can get them out with explosives, but just use one or two at a time. At the most.
Don't cover it in explosives as this will make too much force for the tank to take at once, as you saw.

Using explosives around equally explosive things needs a high level of subtly (if not also a touch of luck when doing it the first few times) to work successfully....
Not MAXIMUM FORCE!
