Why is game crashing all the time.
Loading ships, in middle of salvage or in main menu. Like that.

ive played a dozen or so sessions and only crashed twice during game play, one crash was after I salvaged 2-3 ships, and on loading the 4th ship at spawn it crashed... and I think the other happened when I was selecting a new ship.... and one crash happened when I had quit the game, but as I said only 2 game play crashes

I have the same experience. It is crashing all the time in different places after an hour or so.

On the FAQ it says to turn on VSync in game in the options menu. I haven't had a crash since.

Oh, thanks! I hope it'd help! God, I'm stupid not to check FAQ. Really, thanks.

Hmm I've had vsync enabled this entire time I still get crashes every other shift quite annoying really.

To expand on this I did have 4 crashes within my 2 hours of playing the game all them have been a few seconds after a shift start

Had the same problem at the tutorial. And now, it's running without any issues. Software, strange as hell :D
I have seen several crashes and I have seen the graphics giving out, as in everything starts going black, only things still visible are overlays such as the habit icon, the HUD.

I have did not have the V-sync on and when too many objects appeared(from an explosion) if I look away and back the game crashed. After I enabled the V-sync the game slows down now. loose fuel is real bad.
I get random menu crashes.
I get random loading new ship crashes.

2 crashes in 2 hours so far - not looking good.

I've had maybe 6 crashes now, losing a few ships. I wish it just saved the ship rather than wasting the entire thing.

Game is quite stable for me, had just 1 crash after loading profile but nothing bad happend. I got vsync turned off but set frame limit in nvidia panel.

One time when i was pulling like 1/3rd of ship to furnance at once i had like 1 frame each 2-5sec and was sure game gonna crash but didnt and after i turned view away from furnance it was back to normal fps after a while.

15 hours in. Multiple crashes. Found out about the Vsync bit but have had 4 further crashes... great game but this crashing is getting old

It crashes for me half the time when i remove the reactor paneling on the class 2 reactor.
I found that you can cirumvent that by not using the grapple to dislodge the panels, but instead just cut them with the splitsaw and pull the reactor out from the open top.

Also if you throw something big into the furnace dont look at it. Im serios, looking at it makes the game crash. If you look away while it goes in you are fine. Only for big chunks htought, small ones are fine.

It seems like stability is one of the main concerns then

It all is going to depend on hardware configurations and things like that. I'm 21 hours in and I've had zero crashes, but I'm on a gaming laptop that I got maybe 6 months ago. I'm sure if I fired the game up on my old laptop it would be a different story. Early access games tend to be like that for a bit though as the devs need to see what hardware causes the game to throw a fit.
