Game crashing when choosing a specific Origin.

Hey there, I need some help.

I am pretty new to CK3 and have no Mods installed. It is also a fresh installment, however whenever I click on the same Country (Or County) that I wish to choose as my Origin, the game crashes with no message and I am unsure what to do by now.

Game crashes when choosing Germany as my Origin in 857 AD. (Above the Elbe.)

I am going to try and verify files, but I cannot imagine that something is missing.

No DLCs, and no Mods.

I would really appreciate some help as I loved the tutorial and want to get into this game.

My PC should also be able to handle it. While it takes some time to load (~10 Minutes) I got the graphic cards and the CPU to handle it, only my RAM is missing. But it is never overheating.

1050 GTX
Intel I5 4X3400 GHZ.
Windows 10.
8 Gigs of Ram.

Yeah did the same thing when I tried to choose Iceland. So I'm equally confused.

My guess is that you need more ram.
I know the min specs say 8gig of ram, but they've added a lot of stuff via patches since the game was released and I don't think many PC's nowadays have only 8gigs. Most PC's have at least 16.

Anyways,,,, other than the typical verify game files... and maybe reinstalling C++ redistributable, updating drivers. I can't really think of anything that could fix it. Maybe look into increasing virtual ram/pagefile size. (I think virtual ram is still a thing for Win10... give it a google).

The long load time (10 min) is normal for this game.... (which is also why I don't think that 8 gig min requirement is correct)... My PC has 64gigs... and my previous PC (of 10 years) had 16.

I had the same thing on Windows 11 but changing rendering from DX11 to Vulkan fixed it.
