I don't know who at paradox needs to hear this but if you want to make money, make a DLC that removes the out of sync issues entirely so this can be played like a normal multiplayer game and i'll pay 50 ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ dollars for it I don't care.

Whoever has the best internet should host. Try to avoid playing above 2 speed and you'll desync less. Also, remember you can drag the desync alert down and just keep playing, it's not always a big deal.

Its mostly not possible. Because the player who desynced is kicked out.

No. The Host can reload without players having to be "kicked out".
Simply just don't click to leave game and wait for the Host to reload.
They improved this a lot with All under heaven.
We usually play at speed 3 and after a couple of reloads from the Host everything works fine. No need to be over dramatic about it.

This is the opposite of the truth. Our out of sync issues exploded with All Under Heaven to the point of unplayability. Resyncs and reloads from various hosts and various party sizes lead to another resync or reload five minutes later. So far we've had no improvement, the small hotfix earlier this month did nothing to help. I am not being overdramatic, it is ridiculous that Paradox hasn't managed to fix this issue in almost two decades of developing these games and it massively damages the experience when trying to play with friends. I've lost count of the amount of playthroughs that have ended as a result of losing patience with out of sync issues in vanilla & modded alike.

The game shouldn't have this issue after 5 years and hundreds of dollars in extra content in the first place.
Multiplayer is in fact unplayable. Out of Sync problems are out of hand. And yes, its complete legit to criticise this shady behavior from Paradox. This problem dooms the Clausewitz engine nearly a decade and they cant fix that. Seems like sheer incompetance.

bump. Stopped playing because of sync a year ago, still not back (and not buying any more DLC) seeing this.
They -atleast- put in a Resync button. It kind of helps, my brother and myself found out starts desyncing when we are winning to hard or game needs a restart (memory dump)

Paradox dont need to do anything for mp to make money with ck3. It is not a game adapted to mp, and mp is marginal at this game.

Yeah. It sorta helps but unfortunately my friends and I have noted that a resync is usually followed by another desync within 15 minutes or so. The crazy thing is my buddy lives literally 5 minutes away from me and we both have great internet and machines, yet we can't play together for very long without desyncs.

What we do is once host hits resync, we wait a week in game (to see if it desyncs again). If it doesn't, we do a hardsave(not an auto) restart game and reload. Been working for us pretty good now. Have a game where we just united africa thats had desyncs.
