College of Cardinals GONE?

I managed to get myself into the College of Cardinals, was set to be the next Pope and then when he died I didn't get it. Furthermore once he died I suddenly couldn't see the College and it was gone. The tab was replaced with the same realm tab you have when you are a landed noble.

My rite has now diverged from Catholicism but I was wondering if I could still get a College of Cardinals even if I am not Catholic or part of the Roman Rite.

Sounds like your divergence was too high and you were branded a heretic, or your faith falls under a different Christianity.

The College is for Catholicism and the Rites under it.

Ah fair I just wanted to make sure I didn't miss anything. I know that we are a different faith now but I wasn't sure if Catholicism was the only one that had the College. Seems like a missed opportunity to not allow other rites to develop there own as well. Alas... next playthrough perhaps I can stay as the Roman Rite

Dlc jus came out. give a few weeks im sure the modders will add a "college succession mod"
