is there a way to make my own travel goals? or it is only possible to travel to event or silk road destination?

There should be a 'visit silk road hub' decision, which'll do the latter. Don't think there's anything for events, barring the mandala ones that're landless contract-esque. (EDIT: sorry, misread your OP and for some reason thought you were asking if we could travel to silk road destinations/event ones, by which I assume you meant activities. My bad.)

One thing you can do if you're wanting to harvest lifestyle xp from points of interest is continuously add destinations to an already very long travel. So, for example, if I'm an English king, I could go to university in China and keep updating my travel itinerary, which I could do until I've visited every POI on the map. Ends up being a bit excessive, and the trip's going to take about a decade, but still, it's something you can do if you want to.

Well yeah i was just hopping that paradox would make ann addtional event/activity were you plan a route to see other countries and make connections to local powers. Like mansa musa piligrimage which was not about piligrimage at all.

You kinda can. You'd just go on the Hajj, probably pick worldly if you're of the view that his pilgrimage was more about developing ties with the Middle Eastern Islamic world and increasing his personal prestige (I won't pretend to know exactly why, and I'm not sure that you couldn't both want to do that and want to make the Hajj out of genuine piety. There aren't many sources about Musa, and the ones there are almost certainly didn't know him personally), and then customise the route so you go through the desired locations. You will get some travel events, but they're kinda generic and aren't really going to do much in terms of making friends with local rulers.
