Timespinner looks cool:

And I'm not sure if it's technically pixel art, but the new Shantae game should be great (2D platformer)
A few others you might have missed:
Slain! was a mess at launch but apparently it's MUCH improved, so if you passed on it before it might be worth another look
Cursed Castilla just came out like a week ago:

Momodora: Reverie in the Moonlight is a cool Castlevania-like, one of my favorite games this year:

And a few others: Odallus, Vagante, Xeno Drifter, They Bleed Pixels, Starbound, Axiom Verge, and Freedom Planet.
I adore pixel art and platformers (I'm 40, I grew up in the 8 and 16 bit era) and it's a great time for it!
Yeah, that's my main problem with this new school of "retro" looking games, they are SO G**DDAMN HARD. Really, I do love the art of some of these, I would for instance have loved to try Cursed Castilla but I know I won't enjoy it, I get easily frustrated. And yeah - I did play those 8-bit games in the 80s, but never was any good at 'em :)
Here's hoping Owl Boy won't be that punishing though... at least that it will have different difficulties so the masochists are satisfied while the rest of us get to enjoy the wonderful art and a fun game :)
I really disliked that game tbh, I hope Owlboy doesn't disapoint like that, it did have some merits though of course.

Freedom Planet 2 is coming out 2017/2018 and it will have even more detailed, higher res pixel art.
Hyper light drifter - amazing from begining to end!
Shovel knight - Pure joy to play
How could you say no to that cutey? http://i1.kym-cdn.com/photos/images/original/001/072/797/7cf.gif
In all seriousness, demo should come out early-mid 2017 and then it will be reasonable time to judge the artstyle in motion. I was also cautious of the new artstyle at the beginning, but It eventually won me over.
