But, then I found out how OP frost was, and I basically just spam tearblaster arrows to get rid of their guns, and then freeze them and spam hunter hardpoint arrows. Kills thunderjaw's in literally 30 seconds.
When I play NG+ I'm gonna forbid myself from using freeze bombs in my sling, cause they're just way too OP.
Tear arrows have an AOE effect, You can punch off 2-3 components off some robots.
Is the interface lying or something? O.o

Yes it's lying in regards to tearblast arrows; Tearblast arrows always do 200 tear damage. no matter the mods, except when hitting disc launchers which are vulnerable to tearblast arrows and they take 400 tear damage.
As for the tearblaster; if it hits a removable part, that part gets removed.

The last three years of my life is a lie...
Wow...thanks for linking that. I didn't know the game had such ♥♥♥♥♥ (and downright lying) stats.
so that brings me to why you would use different types of Tear weapons.
Sharpshot bow Precision Arrows deal substantial tear damage at 15, where their tearblast arrows deal un-marked tear damage in an AoE on the blast for about 100 but is unaffected by mods.
Hunter bow Arrows, standard arrows deal 13 tear damage, nearly as much as Precision arrows, but doesn't consume 6 Wire. Hunter bow Hardpoints deal 38 Tear Damage, and can be modded for some serious tear damage, they only cost ridgewood and shards.
Tearblaster is very cheap to make ammo for, 1 echo shell, 1 metal vessel. it tears whatever it hits off. it can sometimes tear a chunk of armor plates off, or only a single armor plate. the rule of thumb is, "whatever it hits, comes off" your tradeoff is that it costs one weapon slot to use, so you'll have to carry other weapons alongside it which... naturally you should be anyway
so arrows=tear what you shoot + cost effective
tearblaster=tear what you hit + pretty cost effective but restrictive
tearblast arrows=tear a bunch of stuff where you shoot + high value, AoE effect.
Specifically: Does the oddity regarding the fixed amount of "tear" on tear arrows / tear arrow's mechanics to be unaffected by the "tear" mod still hold true? Has this not been changed or patched ever?
Thank you
