I rather waited half a year for the event before paying that. It´s just riddiculous to pay 10K when everyone who already has the plan can build you one and all you have to do is ask here and you will get built one for you for free.
Same for the weenie wagon. People say it´s worth more than 40k. But if you ask here there is a high chance that someone will build you one in your camp for free. You can even move it and put it in storage if you move your camp. So asking prices like that is simply a scam.
I get the feeling that some people in this game should rather play some trading sim instead.
some event theorize that emergency protocolls are adding the most survivability anyway -the ranged reduction/ poison res seems specialist at first but can come in handy too.
so to repeat, dont hunt ultra shocks at a premium price. grab it if its cheap but quest for hellcat
Haven't got the outfit and gas mask myself yet.
A truly "free market" means that players price things however they please - and sell to whoever they please. I would say any seasonal rare plan or rare plan/recipe could be priced at 10k. (*Personally)I would never pay more than a thousand for a plan from a player, though.
There's a tiny cap limit so ... why bother?
I’ve got two I haven’t put on my vendor. Mostly looking for a decent Fasnacht mask since I haven’t gotten to do that one yet.
Of the ones coming this year, the Glowing Turkey looks the most interesting to me, and I’ve wanted to have something in my back pocket for when I first see one available.
unless you're using aristocrat's legendary effect, then you want to remain above 30k caps to get the max value out of it.
And that, IMO, sums up the entire issue.
After getting all the serum recipes, caps are no longer an asset/currency to me. Caps are just a needle on a mixing board that I adjust to avoid clipping. When the needle gets really low, I go get more caps. When the needle gets too close to clipping on the high side, I go to vendors and dump caps on all the plans I don’t know.
When the needle is too low for comfort, having a sought-after plan or a decent legendary that can get me 10-20k without having to spend much time getting it is nice. Likewise, when my caps are getting too high, and someone has something good for sale, it lets me drain them back down quickly without a bunch of vendor hopping.
The butthurt over high vendor prices for certain things makes absolutely no sense to me.
The communist threat is real.
i have my ultracite plans dirt cheap for 300 caps, none sold so far lol
----
btw, the vendors sell a lot of plans for way less than 10k
After having them clog up my vendor, I dropped all my ultracite plans to my regular 10c junk price, even the jet pack.
If I do get a shocks plan, I won’t be putting it up for 10c or even 100.
…and the closet commies will gnash their teeth and rend their garments accordingly.
Like why can't i Rrob that gold bullion seller at the Wayward. That fashion blind dude brags he gets deleveries every week and I can't ambush it and take it for myself after some more murder hobo'ing. Pity
All apparel is usually 1 cap, and I frequently make stuff and put it up there. I might go as high as 10 or 100 caps if it's a post-event item that I might think people would REALLY want, other than that I just keep a healthy stock for any new players trying to go for a specific look. I get most annoyed when one person shows up and buys all my apparel, which to me feels like they're just going to try and resell it for way more, or just scrap it, when my intention is to hook up newer players.
Serums I usually sell around 400 caps. They don't really move much, sadly, so my original plan of selling them to recoup the money spent on the plans isn't really panning out, lol.
Plans I usually sell at 1, 10, or 100 caps based on how uncommon I think they are. I usually give SUPER common stuff away at the vault 76 donations box, like the chemistry workbench or mole miner gauntlet. I think I have had jetpacks priced at 1000, but I don't remember if they really sold well or not.
Food (usually just canned coffee and dog food, lol) goes for 1-5 caps, as well as non-serum aid.
Armor and Weapons, I usually never price higher than 500, unless I know it's a really solid roll, then I might try for 1000-2000. Problem is I never fully know what is that valuable, so I'm probably "robbing" myself of more caps.
Either way, not too big of a deal to me. I did pay way too much for a weenie wagon, like 15K, but I was able to make that back in a couple days cause I had some decent stuff up for sale at the time.
