Sharing it with a faction gets you a step up on the reputation grind.
Which one is more painfull?
The reputation grind is so much more painful.
Gold Bullion is more important for getting stuff.
If later on Bethesda decides to make the final decision have a bigger impact on the story, then it would suck to have a repercussion. because you wanted to skip measly 3 days of Bullion grind.
First off they seem to be "catering" to everyone (and atoms) in some way. So i wouldnt besuprised if the lore changes based on chosen faction where meh anyways.
second I doubt the effects of the lore would be dependent on if you shared or not and more so just effects what faction you chose.
