Use a Mouse and Keyboard

Hi, can someone tell me how to play this game with just a mouse and keyboard? I start this chuffing game and I cannot do a thing as I do not use a controller!!!

Can see key bindings in Settings... Im not quite sure what you're asking

W makes you go where you're looking.

A and D make you do the jig, for really fun application try alternating them

S makes you run away

Q makes you in to Predator

R makes you wish you had reloaded ten seconds ago

E when none of the others seem to work

go to settings and disable controller

See user interface for every other first person game ever, and use those keys.

Also, read the monitor in front of you, it tells you what keys to press.

Guys, thank you for answers. You ask me what/why I am asking. When I log in, I am faced with options to move around the screen etc via controler inputs!! I cannot find away to progress further due to not having a controler to change to keyboard and mouse - I hope I make more sense. Thank you.

You can change the ini file so it will start with keyboard and mouse

copy pasted from a reddit post
"documents/mygames/Fallout76/project76Prefs.ini at the bottom of this list on a new line I put [General] than below that I added bgamepadEnable=0 Saved and exited it and the game launched into mouse and keyboard mode."

Double check the info online. You should have no issues finding better guides on reddit and youTube if you need them.

You probably also have the issue most people have when their FPS is unlocked.

FPS cap your game to 60 or 90 and you'll be fine, use AMD Adrenaline or Nvidias Control Panel to do so.

I was unable to move because I had 500 fps in the vault when I first started. (Yeah the game engine is still broken when it comes to high fps)
