As long as you're not trying to kill bull sponge event mobs, any weapon should easily hold up long enough for you to be able to afford to repair it, on top of a tidy profit.
Note though that higher tech equipment is much, much more expensive to repair. Excavator armor, for instance, is pretty easy to get the salvage for its own repairs. The higher tier power armors need silver which can be a bit of a pain to find in large quantities unless you're specifically looking for it, or buy it off of npc vendors. Same with fiber optics bundles for some weapons.
Yes, the game does maliciously 'encourage' new players into buying repair kits because the in game repairs with scrap isn't fully explained.
Repair kits were introduced about a year after launch and when they were added the crafting bench prompts were changed to make scrap repairs far more convoluted (seems the 'veterans' forgot this...).
Go up to a workbench and hit modify/repair [Space] then scrap repair [T] off memory but check the prompts at the bottom of the screen. If you have the White Knight perk in agility it'll decrease the cost of armour repairs.
There are also perk cards for increased durability of weapon or armour repairs and the new free ally Del gives a buff to repair to 130%.
Isn;t it 90% less weapon breakage? (edit: i'll need to check that in game, i dont have those cards memorized)
Use that
I'll just leave this here.
Education is the counter to ignorance.
damn you are so bad...
i really hope for your own sake that you are just trolling for clown awards lol
just use a workbench to repair your stuff and move on
Sounds like some diabetic extra who googled "best places to farm" and keeps grinding on NPCs for his copium and addictions.
Thankful I'm not living their life to be honest. But you do you man and keep it up.
You're just being you...saying and doing things you would do. We get to respond to all that drama Kevin.
