He is super tough, you need a good vampire melee weapon to deal with him.
You say you have the “best” non-legendary weapon in the game? Going up against any majorly group content should have legendary equipment and you’re probably going to want to join a team and go along for the ride a few times before trying to solo it.
What level are you?
200 with a double blade vampire flaming chainsaw.
Speaking of better equipment.
Participate in the event Eviction Notice as part of a team that has other members there. You will get LOTS of legendary equipment. Most of it garbage that is turned into scrip at the lego machine. But scrip is good.
Additionally, anytime you see someone start an expedition team (or someone who is leading your team goes to Atlantic City), jump on and go for a ride. You will get a LOT of experience at the end, plus 6 random legendary items. Most will be garbage, but some may not.
It’s all about getting yourself out there and playing the multiplayer game.
Below 100 you are better off doing those as a team. I soloed the Pitt at about 140 but even then still had some issues.
At this point walk everywhere, loot everything do all the dailies and weeklies and build up your stock of scrap, plans and perks. Do all of the public events as well, you get free legendary items from those, and some are excellent. You can also get flux, script and legendary cores which you will need once your start crafting your own legendaries.
Take your time, finish the MQ and then branch out to other things.
