Best Purveyor Buy so far - Quad Handmade

Quad, +50% to hit in vats, -25% ap cost
No its not bloodied, vampire or exploding but it works really well, first weapon I decided to rename so I don't scrip it or something. The two things that annoy me the most in this game so far are reloading mid fights or running out of AP in VATS and this seems to solve both of those issues completely on most enemies & pvp.

Glad you like it, I've never saw the need for a quad roll on a handmade, but maybe I'm missing something.

I just hate reloading (even with all the mutations and perks that shorten it) so I think Quad anything is my favorite 1 star perk no matter what the weapon is.

Some weapons like the tesla rifle I 100% agree on the quad roll. My Vampire +25 weapon speed handmade is great I only wish it had a better 3 star roll than less damage while reloading. By the time I need to reload what I was shooting at is dead. Maybe next time I'll get the roll I want.

I can never get the exact rolls I want on the weapons I want but everyone now and then I get something like this where I wasn't using before but I wouldn't change anything about it. Worth of a rename IMO. Still using a Fixer, Guass Rifle, Black Powder Rifle and Dragon I have slotted as main weapons but I am still hoping to get better rolls for all to give final renames.

I rename and reskin every weapon I get that I like. Nothing worse than selling or scrapping a good weapon. EDIT and I hope they give us a skin for the holy fire its a PITA that its always in the list.

lol, you got a better chance at winning a lottery in real life compared to getting exactly what you want from a weapon roll. Look for things you can use or sell and work with them.

I figure there is like what, maybe 15 effects total, and 3 at a time, so that's like a 1 in a 14 million chance of getting exactly what you want based on my bad permutational math - still better chance than winning your local or national lotto!

Quad is a solid prefix for auto rifles for higher sustained DPS. I prefer using Quad on my bloodied characters as they are using adrenal reaction mutation to give Quad some extra damage.

However vats hit chance and 25% less AP cost in vats effects are both fairly poor rolls for this weapon. 25% faster fire is 25% more DPS and 15% reload speed is more time firing and are both better rolls. 15% crit fill is ok but only if it crosses a threshold to make your crits take a shot less. If it doesn't it is useless too.

Also buying from the purveyor is wasting your scrip due to always getting a totally random item. You should be using scrip for modules and then rolling your own effects on items you want to keep for most efficiency.

I have a handmade with Quad, FFR and 15R and it is great. Depends on the situation, but I prefer it over my other prefixes like bloodied and AA.

Strongly disagree with the above - + reload speed is a waste on a quad, the point of 80 rounds is I am not worried about reloads anymore. 25% faster is also a waste since its single shot not auto, 40 vs 50 fire-rate is not going to be noticeable and AP bar will be drained well before then anyway. I do think this was best possible roll for my build which is already focused on single shot rifles, Vats, stealth, crits, AP regen and shooting from ranged vs up close.

I think purveyor is underrated, I have gotten some good stuff from him more on average even if I have to adjust my build for the weapon. Maybe just have bad luck with my own rolls. I only ever purchase the 100 scrip ranged weapon option and then resell for 40 if its not good. In the end you are only spending 60 scrip per possible good roll vs the full reqs of cores + modules on a 3 star reroll.

My own rerolls are always trash like + damage to random enemy type or something else that's useless while purveyor is just based AF lately since the last scrip weekend and dropping nonstop bloodied, exploding, vampires and quads on me. Think I am on a hot run with him or something.

I am still skeptical on my quad fixer and handmade choice in terms of more damage/reloads vs less damage/reloads so not sure if it's worse or balanced enough to not see a real difference than a non quad since I haven't did any math and I am not a 76 guru.

I definitely enjoy less reloads around hordes, I do know its nice to have cause in vats the delayed hit reg and quick rate of fire continues to fire even after the health bar is depleted to zero so i feel like I am wasting 5-6 rounds per vats kill which contributes to needing to reload more so I just feel like the quad is perfect for me when I am jacked up on coffee.
