Crossplay??

I have the game on PC, my friends is on Xbox, is there any reality that we can play together???

i have the game both from steam and now on xbox Gamepass(PC), hoping that would make a difference., since he has it via gamepass (xbox) as well. i just cant find a clear answer. i've seen a half dozen redit pages saying its possible if your both on gamepass. but that might just be between Steam and Gamepass PC...... Every answer i have found seems deliberately vague.

on the "Game bar" we can see each other playing the title, but cant join or make a successful invite, and if we search on the social menu we just get nothing..

Xbox the console playing with PC players? No.

Xbox account for the PC game playing with Steam players, I think yes.

There are 2 forms of GamePass, the Xbox and PC versions.

The Xbox can play on PC via cloud gaming but that is still played on console servers. There is no cross play between consoles and PC.

Ive wondered before but there is some confusion especially if u Google and find post made from rushed researched journalists or people replying in other web forums confidently confirming it which is a lie.

I play on Xbox with gamepass, There is absolutely NO way to crossplay but the confusion comes from the consoles ability play through a cloud service using your Xbox account on any device that supports a gamepad/controller which is not crossplay but more like mirroring my Xbox to a laptop screen and no KBM support "Thats about as crossplay as it gets"

Theres a fo76 PC and Xbox version for gamepass but there not related at all in terms of cross play or shared game progress, One is purely PC and the other is only Xbox so don't let the Xbox gamepass subscription and combined Xbox logos confuse future readers.

Sadly, it boils down to money. Sony in particular charges a boatload to developers to allow crossplay, that's why no one does it.

Its so confusing lmao. BUt I can confirm that pc and consoles dont have crossplay. I think its because all the duping and hacking that went on for years in the pc servers so bethesds just wont mix them.

This seemed to be the newest forum post about this subject, so I guess nothing have changed yet? I've also been waiting patiently for full crossplay, after having asked about this as a feature request. We are some who definitely would play more if being able to team up with friends on other platforms.

i will never understand people who post a discussion that can be solved in a 2 second google search, nor will i understand the people who come to answer something that is simply wrong when again, you can get the right answer in a 2 second google search.

FO76 has no crossplay, not between consoles, not with PC.
i agree that is extremely bad for the game and the playerbase, but thats just how it is.
