Donation box: take a penny, leave a penny

There are a lot of 3-star legendaries that get dropped and eventually de-spawned because of currency limits. Just today I've dumped a lot in the donation box, where someone might have a chance of getting some use out of them. I also take things out if they'll be useful to me. I see this as valid use and encourage other players to consider doing likewise. It'll cut down on waste.

Today I was pleased to see quite a variety of things in the Donation Box, that would be useful to new players. I dropped some ammo, water and nuka colas.

To be honest? I don't takes things out. I do a lot of WestTek runs and loot a lot there and when i'm done there? Just donate my looted items like purified water, bobby pins, all kind of Nuka Cola except for the Quantum one caus farming those for a friend, weapon plans who are easy to get in WestTek (grenades and mines), Rad-X you name it.

It gives new players a headstart.

I just wish it had an outlet in the whitespring crafting room. I always have stuff I leave behind because I don't want it anymore and can't sell/scrip it, but I also don't want to go through additional load screens just to drop items in a better place for other players.

Yesterday i made a try, left a pair of nuclear material in the box with other goodies, me with chinese camouflage armor and crouched hidden in some bushes, a lvl 40 spawned, checked the box and left the server, i checked it, the farmer left other goodies and only took the junk, never more, i will not left nothing there, is stupid, im not an NGO, i prefer to continue to be a greedy bastard with stone hearth, want something? sweet it, dont want to sweet? blow your head off (in the game), i dont care.

Use the trashcan across the hall from Artisan's, I often dump stuff there.

One thing I noticed today is that the donation box pre-populates on its own.
Fired up a private server, was using V'76 as a free fast travel point on the way to the Overseer's, and was going to dump stuff in the box for a microsecond before I realized I was on a private server all alone. There was already some ammo (for my currently equipped weapon), dog food, and something else I forget.

Just thought it curious.
