2) set aside some time to either scavange for, or claim a workshop for lead, and make a bunch of ammo for future use.
3) At some point, look at the crafting bench and see how expensive each ammo type is and let that help you decide which weapons you want to use ( early game until ammo isn't an issue)
4) perks help a ton mid and later game to ensure that when you craft ammo you get a decent amount, so the earlier you invest in ammo making perks, the sooner they pay off.
5) You will find players that sell all ammo types for 1c each at their camp stores
6) Early game, using a bow isn't terrible as sometimes you get ammo back, and Im assuming you are stealth headshotting stuff to keep ammo use low.
but yeah, I feel ya. Ammo is a pain.
Scorched are basicaly walking ammo bags.
Good luck!

Also keep in mind if your trying to be heavy gunner or commando while leveling your weapons being ammo pigs will be a problem.
This is another key thing to consider, since until you hit lvl 45-50 you'll have to be constantly replacing your guns and melee with the new level tier of that gun and even using a tier below the max you can acquire/craft will make enemies ridiculously more bullet spongey.
For crafting, I usually kill lots of super muties for gunpowder. Get their guns and dissassemble them. You'll usually have lots of gunpowder, steel and lead to use for ammo crafting.
For example, if you go into daily op and kill everything with 10mm pistol, then all dead bodies will have 10mm ammo. BUT! if you go in there with certain weapons (Ultracite, Fatman, and I think Cryolator) and/or melee weapons, then all lootable bodies will have randomized ammo on their corpses.
Daily Ops is honestly best ammo farm OR you can go to Lucky Hole Mine (its a cultist spot located all the way south in the Savage Divide) and go into the Lucky Hole Mine with Excavator suit and collect all Lead and Crystal veins (Excavator suit multiplies ore vein collection by 4 times!) you should leave the Lucky Hole Mine with about 100 Lead Ore.
When you get back to your camp, Smelt (with waste acid) all the Lead Ore you just collected into Lead Scrap (Necessary for pretty much all ballistic ammo), the exchange rate from Lead Ore to Lead Scrap is insane, its 2 Lead Ore for 5 Lead Scrap, if you also have Super Duper Perk Card equipped you can get really lucky and get like 800 to 1000 Lead Scrap.
Hope this helps!!
Add me if you're not sure and shoot me a message, I got buddies who play all the time and very helpful also.
Same here. Happy to help you out if you let us know what ammo types you are in need of.
I had many players help me when I was starting out and was poor on caps and in need of some assistance.
You absolutely should learn how to do it yourself though. It may seem hard right now but believe me ammo is not scarce in this game. You can buy it, craft it or get it from events or daily ops. It is ridiculously easy to come by if you know where to get it.
This game is no CoD, it´s some kind of a RPG. So you have to earn your skill, items and other stuff..sometimes very hard. So you have to improvise at times.
I love that. Thats kind of real survival. I love to spawn in games like DayZ or Scum with nothing in your bags. Thats the most exiting part of these games. Once well equiped and well skilled its getting kind of boring for me xD
Each enemy killed by anyone on the team will drop some items for you to pick ammo which includes ammo for the equiped gun you were using when the mob died and some other stuff.
edit: when the mission is over, don't leave right away, but run back and collect all the loot bags for your stuff.
Its the easiest way for a low level character to get ammo now without begging for some.
But many high level players will drop a few hundred rounds of ammo for you if you ask them in game with a mic.
You can blame the Wasteland Update nerf, its increased ammo usage a lot for low level new players who don't follow a min/max guide.
Good luck, holler if no one gives you any ammo.
