Do any event with loads of enemies that drop weapons such as Lode Barring and Uranium Fever, pick up all of them, walk to the vendor and sell them.

Bulk junk and sell.

Jealous, I have the trouble find ways to spend them

Yeah the go to methods are

earn your 1400 a day from vendors

On your vendors
sell ammo at 1 cap (you can get 2 from energy cells, 556, 45, and .50 but they take a while, and the heavier ammo takes up too much room)
sell 3 star legendary items (I've got about 800k in weapons sitting idle)
sell your flux at 250-400 per pretty easy
sell Mr Fuzzy tokens 150-300 per pretty easy

Pick the bones of super mutants (3-10 caps a kill... does add up, also has ammo and gunpowder with the odd chem)

If you've sold any spare medical supplies or food items to vendors for the daily cap, I'd recommend having " Lead " marked in your junk tab and picking up every loose can, paint, or anything else that can hold lead. I often sell lead scraps in my own vendor for 3-4 caps each and they sell quickly. The more you have the more likely someone will want to buy it all in one go.

best way for me is to collect EVERYTHING you find, pick up all junk, and continue to scrap all and store, and after awhile of doing so, make bulk of the all the expensive ones and sell them to the traders. easy 1 to 2.5 thousand caps a day

get good with salt and the butchers bounty perk and sell meat could also get green thumb perk but it adds up quick and you have more then enough for yourself when you wanted farm caps just switch them out when you not farming.

Add to that cooking said meat and you are set for life. They sell for crazy money

Hmm.. I may start selling some high powered ammo and see if it sells, so far only 3 star legendary that seems to sells well, especially those with high demand (bloodied/explosive/anti armor), I usually "sells" ammo for 0 caps, hoping it might helps new players that stumbled on my camp (my camp located directly in front of a farm where Steel Dawn quest will eventually brings you to).

My best caps farming methods is to sell legendary weapon (took time to get and sell it) or bulk junks + Bargain perks.

Yeah I find that

.50 cal sells quick at 2... just flys out of the vendor

.556 sells at 2 frequently

.45 I would never buy at 2 (I use it, have 100k regular and 40k ultra), but it sure sells at 2

.10 almost never sells
shells almost never sell
.44 almost never sells
.38 sells slowly at 1
.308 almost never sells
.50 cal balls, arrow, cannon, crossbow, etc odd stuff never sells
5mm sells very slowly but when it does its someone buying it in mass bulk

As for energy
alien blaster ammo probably would sell very well
fuel sells quickly at 1 but is heavy
cryo never sells
2mm EC sells at 1 but its heavy
plasma sells at 1
energy at 2 sells pretty slow but I don't mind holding onto that... 1's far more likely but like I said I don't mind holding onto it

explosives I never bother with as they are rarity weapons and weight a lot

Ultracite ammo you can throw an extra cap on the regular price and it'll sell pretty quick

Then you talk the energy gat ones, they weigh to much for me to bother with keeping and selling, but I imagine that since they last so long people don't bother buying them much

Junk,water,alko,drugs 1.4k per day

Blueprints,ammo for camp

Selling, legendary weapons after scrip cap only save the cheap 3 star items for later, then grenades and chems.

Don't fully understand the three star stuff.

I`'ve bought junk 3-star and less star items to get scrips on occasion, not for thousands of course. By my experience, junk legendary items are just hardly ever bought. So you would be selling good or at least useful items to players, keep the lightweight items for later use and try to get rid of heavy items if needed (even sell to robot vendor, if you have too many, best exchange for scrips).

That's probably trivial. I've paid thousands for good armor and weapons (most i have are probably bought, but not all, peaking somewhere around 8-12k for my extremes.

Keep in mind what is useful and what combines well. Efficient weapons against critters may involve VATS, e.g. hit chance and reduced AP cost, add-in weapons for specific mobs may profit from low weight on occasion. Weight reduction effects combine with perks and backpacks (!), and some things don't stack endlessly. E.g. weapon and ammo weight are cool, but with the food back pack, more than 90% isn't possible, so food-drink-chem weight reduction doesn't make sense, if you can afford the travelling pharmacy perk. Not sure anyone still uses the junk weight reduction effects on armor, maybe it's cool with a weightless piece to swap in when needed. Full armor sets may be of interest too, with legendary perks or the wood for extra sneak speed, so sometimes less than three star may sell too. Action point refresh + weight reduction is pretty powerful. Daily ops make some of the mutants and troubleshooter stuff more useful than it might have been before, so for completion of legendary sets (not same kind of armor) sub-3-star items may become meaningful again, if players gear and perk up just for doing daily ops in a row (weight reduction matters, however if you collect in the end, you can switch to other armor or PA then).

Not sure if the problem is, that people throw away good stuff for scrips, or that it's just so rare. Could be both :). I rarely keep heavy weapons, even though i try to sell really good ones, so they're not wasted.

Since mob levels scale, my instigating pipe revolver can't one shot (head) all the super mutants anymore :(. It's been a beast of efficiency (Instigating, +33% hit chance, less action point cost). Could attempt to maximize damage still, but it's only for the other type of ammo now, competing with an executioner+exploding (if multi shot anyway...).
