player vendor traps
so i just cam across a player that i was going to possibly buy something from his vendors. 2 vendors outside had very expensive trash then a hallway leading to 2 more vendors. the second i step in front of 1 of the vendors (didn't even have time to click it) I instantly die (i was in full excavator PA and at full health)
there was no spikes, turrets, flamers, or arc traps.
how?

also the name of the player that had this trap is: [removed]

It's a griefing technique. Don't actually know how it works (it's most definitely a trap of some sort)--so you may need to unload all your junk before touring to vendors.

Most likely punji board stacking hidden under the floor.

this game is so bad, people have to find new way of fun...

some players build there camp over acid nodes
becareful of lots of confetti on the floor

theres a lightfooted perk (agility lvl 38) ..wont set off traps if in stealth wont help against the node though due to it being natural

on youtube theres prob a video of you and others dieing to it people like to show off there kill count so shouldnt name them your inflating there ego

Not really, I mean it's an online multiplayer game, there ought to be some griefing to a degree. By that logic rust is a doge ♥♥♥♥ game, but it ain't, it's fun in it's own right.

People are just bored, especially in between big updates. Hopefully Beth bring that Season 4 fast.

Bear in mind that if and when you are reported for having a trap base its a 72 hour suspension, second is 2 weeks, third is ban

If the trap base involves exploits it can be an auto ban

The guys in those videos are using exploits to get the trap to work.

Hmm, vending machine somewhere inside where you have to get through some long hallway? That alone would make me lose interest and I would just teleport to a different player's camp to do business with. Time is precious.

Also seen a trap where two foundations are placed so close together that if you walk between them you instantly die.

I went into a cliff base once. Lots of rooms, all with closed doors. I opened one and walked off into a screaming death fall. 10/10 would do it all again.

also the name of the player that had this trap is: The99thTimelord
Naming and shaming is against the rules.
Someone else will report you I'm sure, just an f.y.i.

And your lucky that player trap murder was nerfed big time by Bugthe$da.

Good luck, have fun.

not naming and shaming. im giving the name so other players will not fall for the trap. the name i gave was/is the name of the character not the name of the player

also how was i lucky? i instantly died. no indication of my taking damage, just we walking then re-spawn screen

Don't worry about it. Typical backwards society and rules. Criminals are protected while everyone else is told to "follow the rules".

If you see him again, run his camp over with a train of deathclaws or Yao Guais or something. The trick is: don't run too far ahead of what you are trying to drag across the map or it drop aggro and reset. Keep them within a certain range and you can pull (tether) massive trains of mobs wherever. When you have that crowd of enemies where you want them, get to higher ground or somewhere they can't reach you. Their coding will send them in search of various paths to get to you, but once it realizes it can't get you, it will attack the next closest thing: The camp or anyone else nearby.

If you see a nuclear card key convoy overhead, those work great, too. Start a fight with them over his camp and they'll machine gun the crap out of it. When you destroy the vertibirds, the vertibird wreckage will be like meteor shower that will grind the rest of the camp into paste.

If you don't like something: fight back.
