Lots of players use custom ini files for varying 'fixs'. Many of them have no effect in the Battle Royale with cheese Nuclear Winter and you shouldn't have a problem playing that as well.
Mice have acceleration?
What about moles?
Look for the config files located in your documents/my games/fallout 76 folder (usually) and open the fallout76prefs one. In there, somewhere, there should be a setting called bMouseAcceleration and set the 1 to a 0. Done. Hope it helps. Made my experience a hell of a lot better.
I saw a mole accelerate after my pepper shaker put some buckshot in his keister. Sorry Wack-A-Mole. I wish I could say no moles were harmed in the making of this anecdote, but I would be lying.
I have had that setting off for years. Much improved. Also have many other graphical and QoL changes made in the ini. Nothing there will get you banned. These are simply game settings that are not found in the in game menus. Some are extremely puzzling as to why they are not found in any game menu considering how important they are to game play.
I don't think any Bethesda-game ever made has had the most obvious settings available in the settings. It's puzzling, yeah, but 100% it's because of their ancient engine they keep insisting on using.
Main reason I'm not hyped for Starfield one bit. Uses the same damn engine. It's most likely going to be a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ at launch, broken beyond belief, and they won't be bothered to patch it for at least a year xD It's pretty much Bethesda standards at this point. Their army of loyal modders usually does their job for them. Thank god they exist.
they could make it disabled by default, put fixed configs in installer or whatever.
instead they insisted on mouse acceleration since oblivion i guess.
