Did this game pull a no man's sky?

I've always liked fallout and I like the idea of fallout 76 but my experience playing it wasn't that good. I was around level 20 and guys would magically turn to level 100. And that was enough to drive me away.

Early on many players used ingame bugs to get higher levels, many of those players got perma banned later. But mostly because they didn't stop with that exploit and continued with others.

Later there was the lunchbox exploit, thats why you see players at lvl 2000+. It was not a bug, it was just bethesda fault for not putting a limit how many xp buffs you could get. Many high levels avoided it because of the ban wave in the past.

magically turn to level 100+? They have 2x exp events. I had a level 24 go to level 70+ quickly because of 2x exp. It's not hard to level up- i became like level 200+ during the event.

At lvl 800, it takes like 10 times longer to get level than at lvl 200. But it doesn't matter what level you are on once you have all legendery perks max ranked.

76 now plays kind of like a weirdly mutated Fallout 4 DLC, iv seen some complain about it being too easy due to ammo and especially grenades being more common than popcorn but I had to kill a lvl 60 quest ghoul in a mine at lvl 30 (which honestly, felt more like fighting them in F04 than the normal ones) and killing a scaled to my level radscorpion was a pretty brutal fight. Really weird and annoying we can't sell ammo to npcs though, used 500 of the atoms I earned through playing to get the ammo converter - which is incredibly janky and inefficient still but better than nothing.

The problem is that it's a Bethesda games but they don't let the community fix their game for them.
I'm currently locked out of progressing in a main quest which i learned has been broken since release.
The game is super janky in a lot of ways, don't know how bad it was in the beginning since i wouldnt have touched that with a 10 foot pole.
Having played NMS i would say
No, they didn't pull it off.

I'm still having fun with the game but it's frustrating that Beth just doesnt fix a lot of issues.

That may be your experience alone then because my 2nd playthrough and no issues with getting through missions. Even some of the bugs I saw before are cleared up.

Keeping in mind that this is full Online so your internet connection is super important. Almost sounds like your connection is not handling the game well. I know I know it is the game can not be your end here that all over Steam even from those that come back later and admit it was on their end. LOL.

nice "i didnt have problems so there are no problems" bro

It's a weird coincidence that i run into the same issues people have had for years.
But yeah surely it's my internet connection /s

Now go and collect your fanboy atom rewards.

I always find the No Mans Sky comparison odd. I played NMS early on when it was fairly basic. It got better over time as more was added in patches, but for me it started to get annoying.

Every patch started to take away progress and previous time spent. Found a nice star system, the galaxy was reseeded. Built up a freighter interior, the build set was changed. Build up bases, the landing pads were enlarged for bigger ships in VR and power generation added. Find ships you like the look of, class system added.

After awhile more had been taken than added and for me the game got so frustrating I stopped playing. For new commers however the game is a better experience.

Fallout 76 is the opposite. It was better for early adopters and worse for new commers. Things like 3 simultaneous story lines, One Wasteland damage changes, and character locked gear have made it much more difficult to enjoy until a threshold is reached.

Exp is extremely easy to get here, you can level up an alt to 100 with one weekend of grinding. As for the question, kind of depends on what you mean by it. Game is the same it's always been, but many aspects have been improved. If you liked the core gameplay but there were too many issues around it, probably worth giving another try. If you don't like a fallout-themed looter shooter where the point is a daily grind, you probably still won't like it

The answer is currently no but it has gone from a disaster to something worth picking up on sale, that might as well be a stand alone Fallout 4 dlc.

It depends on how you want to play it.

Do you want to play with others as a multiplayer game?

Or do you want to play alone like in Fallout-4?

If you are looking for solo, then how about paying for private server? I used to do it and I assume it is still available.
