Xbox Controller no longer works after update

When i boot up i get to the press any button screen, however the game does not accept any input from the controller . So i click the mouse and i get taken to the news screen. Here we can see that the game is detecting a controller (telling me to press Y or B), but not accepting any inputs from it.

Any ideas?

I use a controller, and am not having this problem. Why are you clicking with your mouse if you don't intend on using it? You should be hitting 'A' or whatever at the splash screen.

Right, the only way only way i can get passed the press any button screen is by using the mouse or keyboard, but once im passed that it detects the controller and wont respond to KBM or the controller. If i disconnect the controller mouse and keyboard work just fine.

Check Steam Big Picture. Steam makes the controller work as a M/K if not foreground.
Often games and controllers act as M/K when Steam sticks its nose in. So disable xbox emulation in the controller settings.

Yarp, a couple of 'fixs' have worked for me in the past. I use one of those licensed knock off controllers, I like the green pulsing glow it has when playing in the dark.

if your xbone controller bugs out while in game unplug it and plug it back in. Most times that fix's the issue for me while playing.

At start up, unplug the controller before starting FO 76, let it load up, then plug the controller in and it should work. This has also worked for me.

If that doesn't fix it then something may be buggy with your controllers firmware or the port your using.

Appreciate the reply, but none of those worked for me. Im using a Xbox One S controller wit the USB dongle thing. Just weird it works with every other steam and non steam game.

Do you have any other peripherals plugged in (Steering wheels. joysticks. etc. ?) If so, try unplugging all of them but the controller you want to use.
