Rebinding Keys
I rebind my movement keys to ESDF. In build mode, the F key is overridden to rotate object. Any way to fix this?

Nope. Build keys are hard coded.

If you have a common customizable gaming keyboard you make a profile to bind F to another key to work around it with its software.

If you have a standard keyboard i am sure others on reddit will guide you to copy and paste a script to rebind F to whatever with AHK.

Oh I do, and I did try swapping the bindings for F and G. Now long as I don't have to type anything to anyone... I also have a Orb Weaver, but that has kind of the same issue. I'm a hardwired touch-typist, and muscle memory can't be replaced, so WASD is a no-go for me.

I suspect WASD people are equally hardwired; but clearly not for proper touch typing, fingers on home row, all that jazz. ESDF keeps with the same movement layout AND doesn't alter home row placement of hands for typing.

I guess no one at Bethesda types properly, or they'd actually care and fix it. :)

Not sure for a razor synapse program But can't you just Make profiles like CTRL+1 is your standard layout to type and CTRL+2 is your profile for fallout.

Awesome. I came hear to search for this issue, and found a post from MYSELF from 4 years ago about the same damn topic... sad to know it hasn't been fixed in 4 years. How do I report an official bug to Bethesda?

Its not a bug. The keybinding for build mode are hard coded. Its the same with Fallout 4. You may not like it, but WASD are the standard keys across the majority of games.

Yeap, don't support keybinds if you don't fully support keybinds. There's absolutely no point to allowing you to remap movement keys if it will just conflict with some other hard-coded key that can't be changed. It's a bug.

I know this may be an old Thread, but should anyone suffer the same problems this is what Bethesda support told me when I sent in a ticket to them about Key Bindings in Fallout 76.
